Fortuna iron Installed a gate that is exceedingly heavier than ordered They installed it with an electric gate opener The gate is so heavy that it says and won’t operate After calling them since November 2019 and today’s date is April 30th, they have not yet come to the property and repair it Clang them every week and being PUT OFF constantly. Being told “ oh, the beginning of next week they’ll be there”.
It’s apparently NOT important to them but it’s significant to me to have a locking gate
Horrible service.
Fortuna Iron used to have a good reputation, but no longer !!!
Bottom line we screwed up on our
customer service. We apologize for how
this oversight impacted our customer. We work hard to satisfy every customer but failed in this situation. The root of the issue is that we failed to
communicate effectively with the customer. When a problem arose, we failed to resolve it quickly, leading to a dissatisfied
customer. The technical issue is that
the posts were set by the customer and were not substantial enough for a steel
gate, whereas an aluminum gate would have been lighter, but much more expensive. We should have communicated clearer post
requirements for the customer to follow to ensure a successful install. Once the problem was identified, we should
have found a resolution immediately. The complaint was taken to management on
Thursday April 30th. On Friday May 1st we returned to the
customer’s property and set an additional post. The post cured over the weekend and we finished installing the gate
Monday, May 4th. This work
will be covered by Fortuna Iron and the lesson will be communicated to the entire
company to ensure we always put the customer first.
