Our office policy is as follows: for pricing we explain that our services vary andwe can only offer an estimate because our fees varyMrs*** may have been toldabout our $contact lens package when asking about our contactsWe would havealso explained this does not include Toric,
Multifocallits, or any Speciality fit, or a followup visitWe are very well trained to explain this policy when patients are asking for aprice quoteOur staff is experienced and have been employed with us for 1/- 31years.When Dr*** examined the patient he had a conversation with her andexplained she had too much Astigmatism and would need correction for itThe price fora comprehensive exam is $for a new patient, and a specialty fit is $The patientwill be given her final contact lens prescription after we have filled her trials and theDoctor finalizes the contact prescription. The patient was offered to pay for exam onlyShe was also offered to try theOasys sphere, which does not correct for Astigmatism for the $219, but vision would notbe as clearPatient declined both

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute.
Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below. The business is claiming that their policy is that they explain that this price they give is an estimate, but I was told on the phone this was the price I would be paying, period. I even called back to schedule my appointment the same day, and let the lady at that time know that I cancelled my appointment elsewhere because the price was unbeatable.By the time I came in and had the exam, I already owed more than what I was told I'd be paying before I knew it. The doctor was kind enough to explain that to me, after the fact, and he did seem regretful that I was understood I'd be paying one price, but was being forced to pay more. It is not a matter of not yet receiving my contact prescription. I was told up front that I would need to wear my trial lenses before finalizing the prescription, which is a very usual and understandable process. My complaint still stands that I was told that I would be paying $219 for a glasses / contact lens exam, and 12 months worth of contacts. I was still under that impression until I was told I now owed more after services were rendered.I think that this could have been rectified immediately had the business honored their promised price of $219 at least for the exam part of it, and my compromise would have been understanding that I would not be getting the year worth of contact lenses that came with that package. I was even told before I left the office on the day of the exam that they would find out who it was that told me that on the phone, and take care of it, because they were very sorry that I was told that. Now completely denying their fault, and making it sound like I'm not intelligent enough to understand that this was quoted to me as an "estimate" is an insult, because it absolutely was not quoted to me as an estimate, but a price for services.
Regards,
