Review: This company performed poor work on my residence during a renovation project and provided cut-rate service. Co-owner of company, [redacted] Foster, brought in 3rd class workers using 3rd class quality service. I inspected the project on 2 occasions when I was told the project was complete only to find that significant areas of the project were unfinished. Contractor was absent on site and relied on 3rd rate subcontractors to carry out work. At the contractor's completion of the project, I was threatened under duress to pay to balance of the contract. Upon further examination of the "completed project" myself and tenants have discovered the following issues in need of attention:1. Bathroom sink installation lacks proper installation (parts were lost)2. Bathroom tub drain was not attached which caused leaking and moisture issues in wall3. Several electrical outlets are poorly installed4. Cable outlet does not have box and plate screws are attached to drywall5. High quality vent covers were thrown away and cheap, flimsy 3rd grade covers were used that do not fit. Several sets of attaching screws are simply hammered into the sheetrock. The finishing work around vent covers in the kitchen/dining area are not finished6. Thermostat was also attached directly to the sheetrock and "painted in" instead of attached to a box7. Paint and sheetrock throughout the house is largely unprofessional. Paint lines are not straight and dripping can be seen in a number of locations around the house. 8. Access to bathroom tub plumbing was concealed not allowing for access to critical cutoff valvesI have called the contractor on numerous occasions. Contractor answered phone on two occasions and had responded by email up until August 2013; however, he has yet to visit the job site to take action. All subsequent attempts by email and phone have been unsuccessful even though he indicated a willingness to repair or pay for the bill; however, he has not responded to any communication since the date.Desired Settlement: I simply want to have the items above properly installed and repaired such that the work is adequately and professionally finished in line with industry standards. If the contractor does not want to complete himself, I would ask that the contractor fund the work of another company that can complete the job.
