Foti's

Review: Ate dinner at this restaurant prior to going to a concert in Downtown Culpeper on May 4th 2013 at approximately 6:45pm. There were four people in our party and we paid the check that was separated to three different credit cards. The waitress charged my amount of $36.80 but also charged another patrons bill to my credit card of $38.80. I noticed the charge on my credit card for two transactions on Monday May 6th. I called the restaurant but they were closed on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday the 8th, the manager called me on my cell to get all the details and then would look into it. On Wednesday late afternoon and on Thursday, the owner called to state that he understood that it was incorrectly charged to my card and would reimburse immediately. I gave the owner the name of the other patron who was at our table so he could reach her to get payment for the card that wasn't charged. As of Sunday, my credit was not given. I called the restaurant and spoke with a different manager who informed me that the credit will not happen until the other patron comes forth with payment. Foti's incorrectly and without authorization of my signature charged my credit card for someone else's bill. They should have given the credit immediately and the other patrons bill was there issue not mine. I called to insist that if it was not done I would file a complaint. I will never refer this restaurant to anyone regardless of how great the food is. The owner's staff is incompetent and can't handle a simple credit card transaction. His managers are rude and fail to show any customer service. I've owned restaurants in Northern Virginia and I would have lost $38.80 to save a customer. Now Foti's will lose more than $38.80. I hope it was worth it to him.Desired Settlement: The amount that was charged.
