My son with [redacted] on March 9,for his annual check-up The visit was miscoded, and we have contacted the billing department times since March and Aetna, our provider has contacted them twice I have been told the claim was resubmitted and will now be recoded correctly, has not been submitted, is still under review, will be reviewed again and recoded, and finally Aetna has contacted them (the error has cost me $from a HSA account and an additional $not deposited in my HSA account) Recently, they have said that they will not recode the visit because they had to do 'initial patient' paperwork My son has gone to new Doctors, in NYC area and LA area for annual visits, and they have always coded the annual visit correctly, with no follneeded If my son has to go for another annual this year, I believe this would be double billing the insurance (and me) They have been extremely difficult to track down and deal - I have been on hold for ap

I was admitted to the hospital for I believe days I have auto immune disease and have seen some of the top specialist in this country for what I have The doctors refused to review or consult with these doctors I left the hospital in such bad shape and without a lot of answers, and I was so scared I logged on to read my report and there is so many inaccuracies it’s unbelievable and quite frankly very scary Sent my info to the [redacted] and they are seeing me next weekSo just because I have something rare does not mean it’s in my head If they would have asked questions reviewed my records from the specialists that have tested me and evaluated me I may have been able to get out of the hospital sooner Local neurologist saw me the next day after discharge and reviewed my mri and ct scanCompletely disagrees with the radiologist report He said what I have is rare, however he is very concerned and is getting me into the [redacted] This hospital visit was traumatizing to me It is already hard to live life with and auto immune disease that is attacking your body I went there for help and I left feeling traumatized, I will be contacting the hospital for a formal complaint once I get back from the [redacted] I would never go to this hospital again!

On November 30, 2015, I visited *** *** *** at CU Sports Medicine in an office building located at *** ** *** ***, DenverThe building has no emergency department and the only indication the facility is associated with an emergency room is the nameAt this visit, *** *** and a resident physician (I did not request the resident participate) spent approximately minutes manipulating my knee to provide a diagnosis: mild arthritisIn addition, two x-rays were taken prior to any consultation with a physician
I received bills from University Physicians, Incin the amount of $(new patient visit with *** ***) and $(x-ray knee views, x-ray knee 1-views.) In addition, I received a bill from University of Colorado Hospital in the amount of $for a new patient visit, an x-ray knee views, and an x-ray knee 1-views
I requested that University of Colorado Hospital review the charges on January 2, I was notified February 22, t

I have been making payments and for the second time I was sent to collections The first time was about months after my surgeryThe collections notice was the first thing I received regarding my invoice *** *** at the hospital appologized and I started to receive the invoices I just receive another collections notice I have been making payments since I started receiving invoices It's been a few months since I last received an invoice
I'd like this nonsense with the billing department to stop If a person is making payments why did they stop sending invoices? I have paid back over 1/of what I owe

I've had blood work performed by University of Colorado Hospital (UC Health) four times in 2015-In three of the four cases, the blood work charges were discounted down to $- $(after in-network discounts) and paid in full by my insuranceI did not have any out of pocket expense to the University of Colorado Hospital after the insurance paymentHowever, after the blood work on 1/13/I am left owing $(REV codes ***, ***, ***)
I have contacted both the University of Colorado Hospital (UC Health) and my insurance company since February to resolve this matter and I have not seen any resolveI have a letter from my insurance company dated 7/28/stating that UC Health cannot bill me for the charges greater than the negotiated rate (which I believe should be $- $based on past blood work)
My complaint with University of Colorado Hospital is that I have sent letters, phone calls, online submittals on occasions with no resolve on this

I was taken to UC Health ER via ambulance from my place of work 2/1/I had been being treated for cervical neuralgia and the pain intensified to the point of having numb and tingling down my arms and paramedic reported that my blood pressure was 190/90(normally 120/70)In the ambulance I had experienced a lightening bolt type of pain radiating from the top of my head down my spine that was so excruciating a scream came out of meIt stopped and started againWhile it was starting a 3rd time paramedic had administered a medication through my IV he just sthat stopped the painUpon arrival in the ER The doctor examines my eyes asking if I had ever had seizures beforeI said, "NoIs that what that lightening bolt pain was?" He would not answer meThen he asked if I had ever been treated for asthma, because I was making a wheezing soundI said, "No, what just happened to me? I have never felt pain like that before?" The doctor did not answer me, but was whispering in the corner with the ambulance driver and then all medical personnel left the roomWWHen they returned they were yelling at me treating me like a drug addict demanding to know what medications I was on while trying to draw my bloodI told them I gave the list and treatment information from my neurologist that was in my computer case that the paramedic broughtI had only been able to take NSAIDS while I working (as an accountant at my computer)But they kept yelling over and over asking what medications I had been takingThe doctor yelled at me asking me, "Why did a valium type medication work to stop my pain?" I responded, "I don't know I am not a doctorWhat was that lightening bolt pain I felt?" He told them to take everything off of me all monitors and IV and demanded that I get up and leave, because he was refusing to treat meI had never been so scared in my lifeI felt like I could not move, so he shut off the light and left me unmonitored in the dark for hoursI was terrifiedA nurse finally came and took my vitals my blood pressure was down to 120/I was extremely dizzy and had trouble walking and was given a list of taxis with the address of where I was at Then they billed me $7,for refusing to treat me and refuse to provide me or my insurance company my medical recordsI have filed numerous complaints with themOnly to receive a letter saying they reviewed everything and do not find anything wrong with the care or billingIf I want my medical records I have to call their records departmentWhich I have a fax confirmation sent 3/27/and followed up with a call a monthStill no medical records from the visit received

I went to the clinic at I-and Colorado blvd I had an xray of my hip and a brief meeting with the doctor I was billed for xray and clinic visit totalling $ I usually only pay $for a specialist I was also told that I have another bill in process for the physician for $ This will be billed by another billing service My insurance company told me that it could be billed as a clinic visit rather than a hospital visit making the bill much less I ended up spending at least a half hour on the phone will customer service rep who was going to transfer me to a manager After waiting for the transfer, I was routed to an answering service message

This physician was recommended to me by my primary physician in my home stateAs I was being seen for neck pain I brought current, within the calendar year x-rays to my examI was told that I would have to have x-rays and refused several times before being told that I could not see the provider without them and that they would be different images than the ones on my diskAll x-rays were exactly the same as the ones I provided at my appointment and were not used in evaluating my careI protested paying the fee and was told that I would still have to pay as the x-rays were taken on a different date from the appointmentI only ever went to the UCHealth campus for the one appointment and the x-rays were taken that day, an incorrect date has been recordedThe medical records department would not forward me records from my appointment for appeal purposes despite repeated phone calls and faxesWhen I was eventually able to speak to the billing office manager she said that I should have

My company requested an annual Physical Exam to satisfy the requirements of employment
I called, the scheduling line and made an appt.for a Physical Exam, with the UCH PCP *** * ***, on 08-30-2016, with the purpose of having a PE and waiver signed, for my companyI went to the appt and the PCP did not conduct the physical exam, but instead asked me a series of questions that were not irrelevant to my health history or the purpose of the apptHe also ordered lab work that could not be supported by my health historyHowever, oddly enough he signed off on my PE paperwork without doing the physical
I received a billing statement for the appt and sevices renderedI call ***, business manager at the clinic, I was unable to speak to her over the phone, but left a VM
***, left a voice mail stating that she and the physician reviewed the visit and it was scheduled as an out patient appt, not a Physical ExamI reminder her
through another VM that it was miscoded an
