Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: As I wrote in my complaint statement, yes I agreed to the removal of the bolts because Mike one of the installers stated to me and on speaker phone with Matthew that they could not guaranty a good seal with the lid on the concrete using the existing threaded bolts, even though the bid had that them part of the projectIn the bid they would attached nuts to fit to seal the lid to the ConcreteWhen they arrived the nuts that Scott and Cassandra agreed to, were in the kit per MikeThe installers drilled holes in the concrete and installed there Wing nuts, and the lid has NO SEAL to it While removing the existing bolts they left burn marks on my brick, the installers assured me that it would wash off, It did not wash off The job was completed, nothing left in the kit! I was talking to Matt on speaker phone because I was not happy with the job! He was instructing the installers (gentlemen) to go to Walmart, Home Depot, and/or Jim’s Lumber to buy items to alter the job, and after hours of a pretty stressful experience I had to get back to work When talking to Matt he was not listening or understanding what my complaint was all aboutHe treated me like I had no clue what I was complaining aboutWhen I asked him to come and view the job, he put me on hold for minI decided to hang up the phone and I asked the installers to leave I am sure I was not their only job and I was not getting anywhere with Matt at this timeI asked them to leave and NOT to come on MY PROPERTY when I am NOT here or I WILL call the police When they left, I called Matt back after being on holdI left that same message with Vanessa or Cassandra, because she told me Matt was in a meeting and I express concern of why was I on hold and now he is in a meeting? Sorry to it was Not my problem that Matt was given an incorrect messageI wanted to make sure that I would get my money back, and when Matt would agree seeing insubstantial job He never did call me back so I called again Tuesday August 8th evening and express to Matt that he can have the useless lid and I wanted my deposit of $backHe agreed to see lid on Friday August 11th at He called me Wednesday August 12th and expressed that he was NOT coming because he said “I was going to call the Police if he comes on my property.” I tried to explain that was only if I was NOT home! He was NOT listening again, and stated, “I am NOT going to argue for another hour on the phone, and if you do not pay the remaining balance, you will be hearing from my Lawyer!” As a customer I was not a very satisfied with this situation or explanation I did NOT put the lid in the garageIt did rained a little Monday night August 14th and leaked through the holes drilled in the lid with the wing nuts as tight as they can be sealed and also filled the newly drilled holes in the concrete, and moisture on the insight of the concrete formI did place remaining portion of the ½’ thick Polypropylene plastic that was jaggedly cut for the lid in the garage! If he came down to see the job, maybe he would have understood my concerns I would be happy to drive to their location to return the items I do have a question, when looking under the lid they installed a wooden support piece which is now attached to the concrete footingI thought the two screws that are sticking out of the wood about a ¼” was holding the wood in place, but the screws are not attached to anything, I can pull both screws out by hand The wood support piece is attached somehow, and I do not know how to remove it I do not know how or with what they attached it with, so my question is, I cannot remove it , “what do they want me to do?” Please give me a day and time that will work for them, so I can return the items and pick up my refund at the same time Thank you, [redacted] Homeowner in MtnHome Idaho

I am rejecting this response because:   As I wrote in my complaint statement, yes I agreed to the removal of the bolts because Mike one of the installers stated to me and on speaker phone with Matthew that they could not guaranty a good seal with the lid on the concrete using the existing  6 threaded bolts, even though the bid had that them part of the project. In the bid they would attached nuts to fit to seal the lid to the Concrete. When they arrived the nuts that Scott and Cassandra agreed to, were in the kit per Mike. The installers drilled 4 holes in the concrete and installed there Wing nuts, and the lid has NO SEAL to it.  While removing the existing bolts they left burn marks on my brick, the installers assured me that it would wash off, It did not wash off.    The job was completed, nothing left in the kit!  I was talking to Matt on speaker phone because I was not happy with the job! He was instructing the installers (2 gentlemen) to go to Walmart, Home Depot, and/or Jim’s Lumber to buy items to alter the job, and after 3 hours of a pretty stressful experience I had to get back to work.  When talking to Matt he was not listening or understanding what my complaint was all about. He treated me like I had no clue what I was complaining about. When I asked him to come and view the job, he put me on hold for 20 min. I decided to hang up the phone and I asked the installers  to leave.   I am sure I was not their only job and I was not getting anywhere with Matt at this time. I asked them to leave and NOT to come on MY PROPERTY when I am NOT here or I WILL call the police.  When they left, I called Matt back after being on hold. He agreed to see lid on Friday August 11th at 1500. He called me Wednesday August 12th and expressed that he was NOT coming because he said “I was going to call the Police if he comes on my property.”  I tried to explain that was only if I was NOT home!  He was NOT listening again, and stated, “I am NOT going to argue for another hour on the phone, and if you do not pay the remaining balance,  you will be hearing from my Lawyer!”   As a customer  I was not a very satisfied with this situation or explanation.   I did NOT put the lid in the garage.
