February 18, Dear Sir or Madam; We are responding to the complaint ID [redacted] which was submitted on January 30, by [redacted] and we just received today in the mail from a letter dated February 2, FoundersCard is a Membership community for entrepreneurs, business leaders, and innovatorsWe provide our Members with access to exclusive networking events around the world, then as a resource to Members, we also have formed relationships with many leading businesses willing to provide our active FoundersCard holders access to benefits otherwise not widely availableOur partnership with Caesars Total Rewards is one of these relationships and they provide active FoundersCard Members with access to their Total Rewards Diamond status, which Mr [redacted] is mentioning in his complaintMr [redacted] was already past due, but as a courtesy, we allowed this particular benefit to stay active until he was able to update his billing information and renew his MembershipAs an active Member of FoundersCard, Mr [redacted] had received access to the benefits outlined on the FoundersCard Member site, however, upon canceling his Membership with FoundersCard, he lost access to those benefitsOur termination and benefit access policy is clearly outlined in our Terms of Membership hosted permanently on our website (founderscard.comitos) and highlighted in the email correspondence I had with Mr [redacted] (attached),Upon completing his application for Membership, Mr [redacted] also was required to agree to our terms of Membership when submitting his Membership by clicking a boxThese terms state: Cancellation; Termination(a) You have the right to cancel your Membership at any timeBecause of the nature of our service, no refunds will be available(b) FoundersCard reserves the right to cancel or suspend, including any associated accounts, without notice, for any reason in our sole discretion, including without limitation our belief that continued use of such Membership would violate any provisions of this TOS, applicable law, or otherwise be harmful to our interestslf FoundersCard cancels your Membership, FoundersCard may, at its sole discretion, refund the balance of the annual membership fee on a time apportionment basis(c) We may terminate any or all of the benefits available to Members at any time with or without noticeNo refunds will be availableMembership Benefits and Spouse/Significant Other Privileges (a)As a member of FoundersCard, you're entitled to the benefits that pertain to your particular Membership type (b)FoundersCard has the right to add, modify or eliminate any benefit or service at any time at our discretionFoundersCard does not guarantee the availability of any of its benefits and they are all subject to change at any time without notice(c) Any Spouse or Significant Other Membership that is part of o Membership Account shall be automatically terminated when that membership account to which it is connected endsAs Mr [redacted] repeatedly emailed about, we were unable to provide a written guarantee to him that we were able to continue a benefit and therefore, he was electing to terminate his Membership with FoundersCardAt that time, we suspended his benefits, access to Member events and the Member site in an effort to honor his requested course of actionWhile I understand Mr [redacted] wanted us to make a guarantee that was out of our control to uphold, I was only able to provide the information I could based on the best knowledge I couldIn an effort to manage expectations, and also provide a high level of service, I only outlined what I could accurately speak to, and did not want to make promisesBased on our email conversations, you will see that Mr [redacted] requested cancellation at the beginning, then re-initiated his conversations in an effort to negotiate on terms that we were unable to meet him atWhen he officially was canceled, his access to this particular benefit was also discontinued, which we protect based on our terms of MembershipWhile Mr [redacted] is correct in stating that as an active FoundersCard Member, his status with Total Rewards would have been promised to be valid through March 31, 2015, when he took the action of canceling his Membership, he failed to recognize section 9(b) in our Terms of Membership, which outline that upon termination of Membership, his access to Membership and its benefits is also terminatedWhen things did not go his way, you will see his final threats, which explicitly state he planned to "raise hell with the Revdex.com." While I understand he is frustrated that we were unable to guarantee the benefit for him, and chose to cancel I'm hoping that the full correspondence, including access to our Terms of Membership that Mr [redacted] explicitly confirmed that he read and agreed to, will relieve us of this and any further complaintsBest, [redacted] Director, Member Services

I am rejecting this response because:I have documentation illustrating that the Founders Card Total Reward Diamond benefit should last until 3/On this documentation, it mentions nothing about additional terms; specifically being forced (extorted) to pay Founders Card again to renew for a membership which may (at that point) no longer include that benefit)This screenshot of their actual benefit for applying to Total Rewards makes no mention of needing to be an active member through the date of March 1st, This leads the consumer to believe that once you've paid your annual dues, you will receive the full benefit of the perk until 3/1, as stated on the benefits page.Secondarily to that, I received a Total Rewards Diamond status card in the mail with a "valid through" 3/expiration printed on the cardTherefore, it was both Founders Card and Caesars intention to make this program valid for customers who applied during the time I did until 3/1, regardless of what they claim to have in their terms about "remaining a member"This is simply a tactic for them to force customers to re-bill into an annual membership, even when the customer has already purchased/redeemed the perk of Total Rewards Diamond Status.The bottom line is this: I signed up, paid my membership fee, and was promised on the application page that it would be valid through 3/The plastic card from the Casino says the same thingScott P from Founders Card is has punitively taken away my access to Diamond Status because I won't renew.To further address his comment about my "threat" to "raise hell with the Revdex.com"Let me make something perfectly clearThe Revdex.com serves to protect consumers from shady businesses that operate with bad business practices, advertise, and commit acts in bad faithMy statement wasn't so much as a threat, as it was a guarantee, that I would report their business to the Revdex.com as to protect future consumers from being scammed like I wasI feel taken advantage of, deceived, robbed of my benefit and my money, and wholly dissatisfied with the way this company chose to handle making the customer happyAll consumers should be warned about how Founders Card does business so they can make an informed decision prior to making a purchase

Dear Sir or Madam;
We are responding to the complaint ID [redacted], which was submitted on July 11, 2014 and we just received today in the mail from a letter dated July 16.
As you will see through the attached Member profile of Mr. [redacted], and his correspondence from May 30, he requested cancellation after his annual renewal was charged to his account on May 28, 2014 (Invoice attached). During the application process, Mr [redacted] opted in to continuous billing by agreeing to our Terms of Membership (http://founderscard.com/tos) and upon seeing his renewal on his bank statement, sent an email dated May 30, 2014 to our Member Services team, which was after he redeemed 23 high value benefit outlined by our system's database records on his account profile (attached).
To provide a positive customer experience we typically provide Members with a grace period to cancel after renewal if they do not use their Membership, despite our no refunds policy outlined in our Terms of Membership. In Mr. [redacted]'s case, he redeemed over 20 high value benefits, then requested to cancel his Membership.
To provide context into the benefits he redeemed and had immediate access to, a few examples are [redacted] account setup ($350 cash bonus for opening a new account), $50 credit to [redacted], one complimentary year of [redacted] ($50 value), [redacted] status (usually requires 20 hotel stays, or 40 nights to earn), Complimentary [redacted] Service ($90/year), one complimentary year of [redacted] ($79 per year), and the many discount codes shown on his profile that could have provided him significant savings based on the items purchased from a variety of retailers.
Mr. [redacted] later contested the charge on his MasterCard and based on similar information provided to the credit card company, they determined FoundersCard was entitled to the funds due to our Terms of Membership and his use of our product, FoundersCard, and its benefits during year two of his Membership. I hope this provides you more context and this information helps in dropping the complaint filed against us, as we strive to maintain extremely high levels of satisfaction with our Members.
Best,
[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:I am requesting the Revdex.com to look at the materials I have submitted.I have provided documentation (a screenshot) of FoundersCards website stating that the Total Rewards Membership would be valid through March, as Scott confirms in his latest response.  However, in spite of having paid for the membership, I no longer have the Diamond Status through March, as advertised.Scott has a lot to say, but very little meat to substantiate his claims. He continues to regurgitate the same information relating to their Terms of Service, while failing to explain why their redemption website for Total Rewards says that once I redeemed the reward, I would be a Diamond Status member through March 2015.  This case is very simple: FoundersCard failed to provide the Total Rewards Diamond Status, which they advertised to me when I paid, and redeemed the membership, through March 2015.   Once Revdex.com reviews the documentation I have submitted, which includes a screenshot of their own website stating membership lasts through March 2015, as well as a copy of my Diamond Status card stating its valid until March 2015,  the Revdex.com should see that FoundersCard has admittedly revoked the Diamond Status that I paid for, and was entitled to, per their sales page, and per the membership card.The documentation I provided, from their site, and from my Caesar's Total Rewards card, all says valid until March 2015. Scott admittedly and punitively revoked my Diamond Status membership prior to the end of the term that I paid for, and accordingly, has broken several laws.  If this case is not found in my favor, the Revdex.com is encouraging false and deceptive advertising among businesses, and rewarding businesses for punishing consumers for not "renewing" when put into situations that would border the line into extortion.I am confident the Revdex.com will find in my favor, as the documentation I have provided clearly proves wrongdoing on FoundersCards part. I also fully believe this business should be reported to the FTC or false and deceptive advertising, and unfair business practices.  For now, I will rely on the Revdex.com to find in my favor based on the extensive documentation I have provided clearly proving that I paid for a membership good through March, but that was revoked prematurely.

I am rejecting this response because:

None of the benefits were used. They we're clicked upon to view it, in order to help me decide whether this was a service worth keeping. The Mastercard charge was reversed due to a technicality. It is common practice among honest business to provide advanced notice of renewal. They do not. A simple search online shows many similar complaints from other former users.
