Hayes Construction Company strives to provide the best possible service to all our customers and we did that with Ms [redacted] We did what the contract stipulated (Attached is a copy of the contract she signed dated 6/10/2015.)Her complaint states we did not paint the outside and inside of the garage, which, as you can see, was not included in the contract In fact, we did extra work for her as shown on the invoice (also attached) If the contract wasn’t completed to her satisfaction, why has she waited nearly a year to complain?She did call about the concrete cracking and process was explained to her; we thought to her satisfaction Again, no more communications on that situation until the complaintI’m not sure where the disputed amount of $15,comes from? We did what was outlined on the contract; therefore, there will be no refund and no interior finish on the garage The job was permitted in [redacted] County and inspections are required during various phases of the construction process (please see attached “Building Inspections and General Requirements”) for her job, which was done according to the requirements and passed inspection
Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.As I stated in my previous complaint the garage was not finished to my satisfaction The entire garage floor is cracking I explained all that to Josh and Bob H [redacted] when I originally contacted them Since that time the cracking has gotten worse Their solution was for me to apply epoxy paint to the floor Does that seem like a reasonable response? The cracking started within a month of the completion of the project I have had building contractors look at the floor and they both told me that I should sue Hayes construction I also had a building inspector look at the floor and he told me to contact the Revdex.com and The Attorney General which I have done Everyone I have had look at the floor has told me that it should not have been installed without cutting lines into the concrete My brother in law was here during the installation and asked about this at the time I don't believe it was installed properly and I believe that Hayes construction is negligent in their responsibilities As I mentioned in my original letter to you I was told that $2,was allowed my brother in law to paint the outside of the garage Then when I paid the final bill I was told that was not in the contract It appears to me that I should have had an attorney look over the contract before I signed it I really didn't think that was necessary And the extra work that MrH [redacted] mentioned was paid for in addition to the price of building the garage I believe the total amount paid was $43, Regards, [redacted]
