Four Corner Floors

Review: I hired Four Corners Floors, LLC to reface two sets of stairs in my home. During the initial consultation I met with [redacted] of Four Corners to explain as well as show pictures of how I wanted my stairs. [redacted] affirmed and guaranteed that his company can provided the finished product that I was looking for in regards to my stairs. I was instructed by [redacted] that it would take anywhere from 3 to 4 days. Four Corners began working on my stairs on a Monday (August **, 2013) as well as Tuesday and Thursday but no one called or showed up on Wednesday as well as Friday. I called [redacted] who then proceeded to give me a bunch of excuses as to why no one showed up or called only to find out later that his excuses were all a bunch of lies. When confronted about not calling I was given one excuse and then at a later date he gave a different excuse from what was originally told. When confronted in regards to the different versions of excuses given by [redacted] he initially had nothing to say and after a brief pause he attempted to tell yet another lie to justify for the initial lies. I am frustrated with his lack of consideration for time and the quality of work received thus far is questionable. There are gaps that were not filled; holes on the side of the stairs where the old nose was removed; nails exposed that were not properly hammered; gaps between the nose and riser where the nose and riser do not meet; inferior paint job on the riser and well as the side of the stairs. [redacted] was informed about the problems with the stairs and he came to my home on Saturday (August **, 2013) to address these problems and to complete the job. He was in my house until 9:30 pm after working all day and the job still is was not completed nor have the problems I had with my stairs been addressed. At this point I no longer require [redacted] services nor do I want him in my home. I feel that Four Corners Floorings had a sufficient amount of time to complete the job. Also, I feel that Four Corners Floorings is incapable of producing the finished product that I had requested. [redacted] is unprofessional and the quality of work performed is questionable as well as inferior. He is full of excuses and lies.Desired Settlement: I do not want [redacted] to contact me or my husband in regards to this job.

My company was contracted to reface 2 flights of stairs and 3 landings at the residence of [redacted]. As stated in the contract the carpet would be removed and Select Oak Flooring would be installed on the 1st floor steps, the entire staircase going to the basement and that it would take 5 days or less to complete the job. In addition to this (not a part of the contract) we painted and stained the steps with 3 coats of paint to the riser and the stringer (sides) we also reconstructed and tightened all 23 steps as a courtesy and at no extra cost to [redacted]. All this was done in 3 days with one remaining day for touch ups. [redacted] was informed that we would return the next day to complete the job. However she stated that no one would be home and that she would prefer that we wait until after the painter finish painting her house. She informed me that the painter would need 4 days and that she would call me upon their completion. I did not hear her for 3 w eeks. I tried several time to contact [redacted] via text and voice mail. Finally I received a text from her stating that she no longer needed my services and that she did not want us to finish the job. To date the job is 95% complete we would love the opportunity to complete the remaining 5%.

[redacted] paid 700. deposit on the contracted agreed price of 1,950.00 balance 1,250.00 not payed as of today 10/**/13. Bottom line: After all the smoke clear we got [redacted] steps to a liveable state and she don't want to pay for it. I never lied to [redacted] we didn't come 2 days however we still have not told [redacted] we was finish with the job, yes we have touch up work left to do there she know that. I have the contract and before n after pictures of the job.

I did the job just like [redacted] wanted im a business man what is there to lie about I dont undstand frist of all she was never there the 3 days we was there she was not in the house how can she say what or wasnt done I was there and I did the work with my guys the was done just as I stated in my last respond, and she ask me for receipts and labor cost why ? all she should be concern with is the bill. You dont get to see my bills and labor cost. Thats not your concern or business. You agreed to pay my price for the service and after we got your steps, like new like I said 95% complete all we needed was 1 more day to complete the job and you dont want to pay for it. Bottom line you step us with 1 day left for touch up and you lied and said, can you finish after the painters finish and about 4 days they will be done I said ok. I did't hear from you till 3 weeks later you text me and cancel the service we was not finished, you cancel not me right now you Oh a 1,500 dollars bill ! And you don't want to pay thats why you want to see receipts and labor cost. So you can try to beat your way out of paying the bill, listen [redacted] don't worry about the bill. I will pay the bill for you and enjoy your new steps.
