asked us to put an estimate together for what it neededWe advised our customer that it wasn't worth repairing but we would in fact put together an estimateA phone call was made to Mr*** and a message left for him to call us backMr*** called back when the owner was not in and a message was given to the owner to return a call to Mr***A call was made to Mr*** and a message leftAfter not hearing from the *** we applied for title, not because we wanted the truck but because we wanted to know what they wanted done with the truck.Mr*** contacted the shop after receiving a notice from the state and was able to speak to the owner. After speaking with Mr***, they agreed we would tow it back to their homeThe total bill is for tows at $a piece and hour labor at $to look over the vehicle. Thank You

We are sending a copy of a letter that was sent by us to the Maine Department of Motor Vehicles title division on or around March 30, 2017. We continue to claim that Four Seasons made no attempt to contact us about their intention to gain ownership of the vehicle. We also claim that we didn’t ask for a state inspectionIf we had requested an inspection, I believe that the maximum allowable fee for a Maine state inspection is $12.50, and the repair facility is to provide a list of defects. Dear Mr***, We as the owners of the *** truck received notification that the truck was claimed to be abandoned at Seasons Automotive repair shop. We are disputing this claim. In fall of we contacted Seasons Automotive to take our truck to their garage to get an estimate on repairs to get the truck going again It had some mechanical problems, most notably an exhaust manifold leak, and a broken power steering line. We also stated at that time that it was not an emergency and not a rush, just get back to us with the estimate on the repairs We knew that they were a busy shop (they are only five houses away from us on the same road) and hoped they could fit us in between jobsThe flat bed came and picked up the truckWe stated once again to the tow truck driver that the company is to be reminded that this is an estimate only at this time, not an authorization to repair The driver never spoke a word, just nodded, and he never gave us any paperwork to signThey took the truck, and drove away with it. It was very informal, but they were neighbors, and we had no reason to doubt their intentions We did not hear anything from the shop for many weeks so we called to see what was going on. *** (the owner) returned our first call and said the rear part of the frame was rusted and was not worth fixing. We told him we wanted to get the truck running anyway, and we would like an estimate on what it would cost. He agreed. That is the one and only time we heard back from ***. After several more weeks we started calling again. We made numerous calls to be told by a receptionist numerous times that *** would call us back No call backs. We drove by the garage many times and have never seen the truck in the shop’s yard since they towed it awayWe have heard nothing further until the notification came in the mail that the truck was abandoned. When called on 3/28/(the day we received the notice) the receptionist said *** made repeated attempts to contact usWe have no phone record of any missed calls or voicemails from Seasons Automotive We have received no written notices, or correspondence of any kind. We did NOT abandon the truck. Since the beginning, when Seasons agreed to give us a repair estimate, we have made numerous requests for the estimate they agree to provide. We are still waiting for them to provide it. As the lawful owners, we respectfully request an administrative hearing to show that we have not abandoned the truck. Thank You,*** and *** ***
Regards,
