Four Seasons Cleaners Reviews (3)

Review: Approx.3 months ago I had 4 Seasons Cleaners dry clean a tailored dress shirt. The shirt was worn once for a wedding. Other than being worn once, it was a new shirt. I also prepaid the cost of the cleaning. When I picked it up, I noticed the shirt was faded. I showed it to my wife who concurred the color had changed. I returned it to the cleaners. The counter person accepted it back and said the proprietor, [redacted] would contact me. He promptly responded and we talked. He claimed his cleaning process would not fade the color and asked where I purchased the shirt. I explained that I purchase my suits and shirts at Omberto's in Long Beach, California. He said he used to operate a cleaners in Long Beach, knew them and wanted to speak with them. During the course of our conversation, he said the quality of the shirt was inferior and his cleaning process would not cause fading. Omberto's is a respected Men 's suit specialist who has been in business for over 50 years. I trust their products and integrity and have been a customer for decades. We spoke approximately 6 weeks ago. I was actually at Omberto's and tried to arrange a telecon between the Omberto's store Manager and Mr. [redacted]. It was the the store Managers day off. That same day,on the telephone, Mr. [redacted] told me to forward him the cost of the shirt and that it was "the cost of doing business". About 4 weeks ago I left a copy of my receipt for the shirt at the 4 Seasons Laundry. The counter person said she would forward it to Mr. [redacted].I did not hear from him.I dropped in the store several times and finally received a msg on our home recorder. He said Omberto's never called. I left a msg for Mr. [redacted] to please call. I asked him to call the store today as Tom is there. I also expressed for resolution of this issue.I also expressed my frustration and if there was no resolution, I would assume loss of the shirt and contact the Revdex.com. He left a message and felt this could no longer be addressed amicably and to contact the Revdex.com. He has the shirt.Desired Settlement: I would like him to reimburse me for a new tailored shirt from Omberto''s. $63.75 plus tax. On his Internet site, one of Four Season's Mission Statement is to assure Customer Satisfaction. Would like him to review his Mission Statements.

Review: Four Seasons Cleaners is engaging in very deceptive and dishonest business practices. They have a huge banner in front of their store that says 5 Shirts for $9.99, and 3 Pants for $10.99, so recently, when I was near the Rose Ave. location, I thought, Great! Ill bring in a bunch of my shirts and pants to be cleaned. So, when I dropped off 17 of my shirts and 3 pairs of pants with them last week, I specifically asked the employee with whom I left my clothes if that price advertised out front would be good for my shirts, and she said Oh, yes, so I didnt think anything further about it.Then today, when I came by to pick them up my clothes and pay for them, she told me that my bill for the 17 shirts and 3 pairs of pants would be right around $90! Since I had figured out that, at 5 shirts for $10 and 3 pairs of pants for $10.99, my total bill was probably going to be around $45, imagine my surprise when it was TWICE that expensive! The employee then proceeded to tell me that the advertised price was only for laundered shirts, so all of my polyester shirts were being dry cleaned at a MUCH higher price than the one advertised out in front of the business. If thats true, they need to have their employees TELL customers about that up front when they drop off clothes, not surprise them with that bill later, when its already a done deal.I will not be returning to Four Seasons Cleaners again, and I will be sure to tell everyone I know NOT to do business with a business who uses such deceptive tactics on customers.--Randy CrenshawDesired Settlement: I think they should pay the difference between what it would have cost me with their advertised special price and what was actually charged me, which would be right around $45.They should also agree to correct their deceptive business practices, so that other customers don't get stuck with inflated bills like I did!

Response:

I did try to reach Randy three times however we have missed each other and sorry to reply this late as I was out of town. My personal phone call to him was to apologize with his first experience with our company and refund $45 which he claims over charged and also explain our side.

I had a small rip in the seam of some very expensive Ralph Lauren wool pants that were just a few months old. I took them in to Four Seasons Cleaners in Oxnard to have the tear mended and the pants dry cleaned. When I got the pants back I discovered that the crotch was resewn to the point where the pants fit much more snugly than before and when I sat down in a chair the entire crotch blew out because they were too tight. I came to discover that there was just a single stitch of thread holding the fabric together. I took my receipt and pants to the Oxnard location and the girl at the counter wouldn’t help. I drove to the Ventura location where I learned that the actual seamstress who did the repair was working. I explained the entire situation from start to finish and all I heard from her was, no, no, no. She was defensive and insistent that she made the repair, but had nothing to with the rip. To make matters worse, the fabric at the seam is now torn so badly that the pants can’t be resewn without bringing in the pants even more to the point where they would be unwearable. After arguing for 5 minutes with a “seamstress” who barely spoke or understood english the owner came out from back. He handed me my receipt and said that there was nothing he could do. So know, I have a pair of pants that are ruined beyond repair and am out money for the repair cost and dry cleaning for something I essentially wore for 5 minutes before they were ruined. Please consider using a different dry cleaner or tailoring needs. After my experience at Four Seasons I would advise everyone in the area to look elsewhere. The management and employees simply don’t care and when it comes down to making a situation right they really don’t care.
