I officially revoke my first paragraph as parts of it were written in angerHowever, my feeling harassed is not something I can be told is "hearsay" - I feel I have been harassed by office staffThat is simply my truth of the situation
If the requirement to be refunded a pet deposit is for the lease to be up as you alluded to in your response then why was I not able to receive the refund from the original pet any of the five times my lease has come up since moving in? I had the first pet when I moved into my first apartment in August When that lease came up in 2012, why would I have not been eligible to receive that money considering that pet was gone?
What is the most frustrating about this situation is that I had laid out my situation and impending move to Office Worker #and was told that when the time came we would treat the situation as my roommate and I were both leaving, ending our leaseThen my current roommate and her new roommate who is taking my place would sign a new lease immediately afterSmooth transition, very easy
After being told this is how it would happen, Office Worker #jumped in, backtracking over everything I had just been told and stating that according to my lease agreement I would have to get my deposit money from my roommate when I left
When I got back to my apartment, I emailed you directly asking for a deeper explanation as to why I received two extremely different stories on how my move out and deposit refund would happenThis request went unanswered
As I said, I have felt harassed when I have been in the apartment's office and do not feel comfortable speaking to office workers about this situationI would much rather have an explanation granted here where the conversation is mediated
What I do not understand is why Office Worker #1's plan cannot be usedIt covers all the bases I can see laid out in the lease agreement and would work out well for all parties involvedIn Office Worker #1's plan, I officially end my lease and am eligible to receive my deposit refundsMy current roommate and her new roommate then immediately sign a new lease, in which they are agreeing to take the apartment as is and put down the new deposit and begin a new leaseFour Seasons then gets to skip the time, effort and money of cleaning, listing, showing and trying to re-lease the unitEverything would all be done at one timeThis is where the bulk of my frustration is coming from - this was the route I was told would be taken originally
