Review: Our 2001 [redacted] 2500 was repossessed by the 4star towing company. The repossession was done at midnite on the day my husband had been released from the hospital after having 3 heart attacks. this is an issue for the lien holder of the truck. but, the man drove it away from our residence using over 1/2 tank of gas. inside the bed of the truck was 2 barn mats used for horse stalls and several t posts used for fencing and a 2 gallon gas can full of gas. inside the truck were tools and music cds personal papers and other items like a dash board cover and eye glasses. after we paid to get our truck back we realized all of these items were missing. we were told to contact the towing company as the truck had been moved to golden state auction in Tracy ca. we made several calls t make an appt. during those calls we were never informed of a 50.oo dollar fee that had t be paid. when we paid the 50.00 and did not receive all our property we asked what happened to it. they said it was not in the truck. I disputed the answer and was given the 50.00 back but the amount of the items kept exceed the 50.00 they said they did not see the items in the truck but then checked their video of the truck and gave only a explanation of seeing the t posts and nothing for the dash board cover. barn mats gas can music cds and personal papers and eye glasses. these all amount to over 425.00 it is not acceptable to be a victim of theft just because they can treat you as a second rate citizen knowing your truck was repo.Desired Settlement: I would like to be given the property back or at lease to be reimbursed for the current market value. and to have the company be held to a higher level of honesty and practices to consumers and accountability of the employees.

Review: This company came an repo my car an was refuseing to release me my belongings an was saying im not the registered owner the part that made me made most was they had no right taking my car it belong to me an was not up for repoDesired Settlement: They should all learn manmers an not refuse to release personal belonging to registered owner an not be bagging people's stuff

Review: This tow company towed a vehicle without providing explanation of their rates and services then proceeded to add additional storage days and lien fees to bill in contradiction of the law. The law is clear on this - V C Section 22651.07 (c) Prior to paying any towing, recovery, or storage related fees, a vehicle owner or his or her agent shall have the right to all of the following:(1) Receive his or her personal property, at no charge, during normal business hours. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., inclusive, except state holidays. (2) Retrieve his or her vehicle during the first 72 hours of storage and not pay a lien fee. Not only were we attempting to retrieve car within prescribed 72 hour lien free period but they attempted to distort the days for billing purposes which places them in clear violation of law and constitutional rights. Then as a defense mechanism they refused to deal with the registered owner's agent because they stated he was not the registered owner but initiated services and dealt with said agent but then attempted to use that as a means of not dealing with agent because agent disputed these fraudulent charges. They refuse to change their illegal bill and now state they do not accept [redacted] as coverage for tow but failed to mention this before tow.Desired Settlement: They should adjust their bill as the most it should be (which is still unfair and high but at least understandable) is $380.00. If they continue to insist upon this course I will initiate legal proceedings and EASILY defeat them even if they retain counsel which will cost them a lot more money so just to avoid legal costs they should have no problem making bill even $300.00

The vehicle in question was picked up at the request of the California Highway Patrol. This was a recovery of a stolen vehicle. The person who showed up at the time of the recovery was not the registered owner. We are only allowed to release a stolen recovery to the registered owner. The party stated he was the dad. The vehicle was towed to our storage facility on 9/21/15 @ 6:45 PM. It was released on 9/25/15. After 72 hours we are required to file a lien. Customer was charged $35.00 which is half of the lien as we had not received confirmation of the lien. The fees are a contracted price with the California Highway Patrol. Customer was charged $210.00 for the tow, $35.00 for half of the lien and $300.00 (5days of storage @$60.00 per day). The dad called our office many times and was verbally abusive to our staff. The registered owner did come to our office and picked up the vehicle. The dad was not the owner and when the registered owner came in to pick up the unit he was cordial. Our rates are contracted and posted. If we can be of any other service please do not hesitate to call us. Thank you for your time and consideration.
