Revdex.com:At this time, I have not been contacted by Foursquare.com regarding complaint ID [redacted]. I reached out to them via twitter to get a contact email address because they did not get back to either myself or [redacted]. After going back...

and forth with them trying to make me file yet another request on their website, and refusing to acknowledge my request for an email address, they finally gave me an email address which I sent to [redacted]. That was the last I heard of it. Sincerely,
[redacted]

As we now have the correct email address we've fully removed your account from the system and you will not receive further emails from us. Thank you.

I'm attempting to resolve complaint ID:[redacted]   As you can see here:[redacted] while their email address is listed in our help center system(all current and former user accounts are), there are no records of any correspondence with him at that gmail.com address. Also as you can see here: [redacted] I have no record of his account listed within our active accounts.    I would happily unsubscribe him from any future mailings but I don't have that email address on record. I would need either 1. the email address where he received the mailing OR 2. a copy of the mailing which should also have his email address listed.    Also as an aside, I never received an email stating that we received a complaint in November (I would have addressed it then) can you confirm that when a complaint is filed that an email has been sent?    Thank you!

Our sales rep has reached out and offered both a refund of the charges and a credit for future services.

Review: I own a small bed and breakfast in [redacted] and this company is/has been reporting my business as closed. It is NOT closed and at no time did anyone from this company contact me to confirm that this information is true. There is no phone number available to contact them. When I went to change this information I was charged $20 to "claim" my business and edit the information in THEIR listing of MY property. According to their site it is still closed when in fact it is open and has never been closed. My business is [redacted] in [redacted]. Just wondering if this is something they do to drum up money from business owners who dispute their inaccurate information???Desired Settlement: To accurately report that our business is open. Not super happy about the $20 charge either. I have no interest really in being a member of the site. I just want potential customers to see that I am in fact open for business in [redacted]!

Review: Foursquare overcharged me on my advertising campaign with them. They dramatically raised my bid on an advertising campaign without my consent. I had an advertising campaign on their website with authority for them to charge me $2 every time someone clicked on my ad up to a maximum of $300 per month, up to 150 clicks. WITHOUT MY CONSENT, my bid price (how much I'm charged when someone clicks my ad) was raised to $28 in order for them to be able to charge me the entire $300! This is absurd. Please keep in mind that my business makes, on average, $10 per customer that comes in. I was being charged $28 for someone to click my ad. Furthermore, a customer clicking my ad does not guarantee that that person will come to my business. When they click on the ad, it simply gives that person more information about my business (address, phone number, etc.). Therefore, I was being charged $28 for someone to MAYBE come to my business and spend $10. There is no logic to it and it is fraudulent.

Please note that I did speak to the representative in charge of my account, in order to rectify the situation. I asked him who authorized such high charges on my account. He replied hat it was a former associate of his that did so. He told me that because it was a former associate, there is nothing that he can do about it. He did acknowledge that I was paying too much and lowered my cost on future advertising clicks. I told him that if I was to get some kind of credit to make up for being overcharged so much I would be satisfied but he refused, again stating that it's not his fault, it's his former associate that did it. I spent over $1,200 with foursquare on advertising, so they would still come out in a profitable scenario by giving me some kind of credit on my account (or refund). The fact that they raised my advertising bid without my authorization is fraud. The fact that they refuse to attempt to rectify the situation (even after admitting they were overcharging) is unethical.Desired Settlement: Refund my credit card the amount of $150.

Review: I attempted to use a special offer on foursquare that came up for Kohl's for 20 percent off my purchase. They refused to honor the special and their corporate office claims they do not advertise on foursquare and that it was fake.Foursquare has no way for a user to contact them or report such an issue if they do not have a twitter account.Desired Settlement: removal of the specials

We offer numerous resources to reach out to our support team to help resolve these issues.

Review: About a year ago I contacted Foursquare regarding their incessant emails even after I had deactivated my account. Contacting them was difficult as there is no direct Customer Service line, but eventually I got through and after working with them I was assured that my account was deactivated and I would no longer receive email from them. This was true until a few weeks ago when I started receiving emails from them again. I contacted the person I had talked to previously and sent emails to the customer service email I was able to find. The customer service email auto replied that I would receive a response within 24 hours. I have now sent two emails over the course of almost two weeks, and have received no response. I have asked nicely, and I have made demands, but they continue to email me, so my last resort is to email you at the Revdex.com to see if you can do anything to make them stop. I live in Los Angeles, but Foursquare's HQ is located in NY.Desired Settlement: Remove my email address from their mailing list, and keep it that way. I would also like to be given a phone number and email address of a specific person whom I may contact should these emails start up again (as they have recently after the last time I filed a complaint), so that I do not have to go through this entire process.
