Fox Cities Women In Business Reviews (2)

While I can understand Tracy is upset with the situation, I've attached some screen shots, as well as our official rules and a link to our website and contract applicationAs well as Tracy Klemen's completed contract. The only change to our official expo rules since they were reviewed by an attorney
was changing the late fee to a daily accrual rather than one flat rateAnd of all of our exhibitors in years of doing this, I've never had this issue arise. Our Website: ***Our exhibitor sign up page: ***With the following bolded information, our website, official rules and contract state no less than times the payment terms:

I was interested in an event "Birth Belly Expo" and I filled out an APPLICATION to be at the event. In the application there was an agreement to pay for your spot at the expo upon acceptance. I have been in many craft fairs and had many jobs - when you fill out any APPLICATION for anything - typically you do agree to the terms upon your letter of acceptance into a show or upon acceptance into a job. I don't go to Target and fill out a job application just expecting to show up on Monday assuming I have a job. Normal businesses and event vendors have a best practices application process: Apply - Get Letter of Acknowledgement/Acceptance - Pay the Fee. You even send a post dated check and the event planner will notify you that you were accepted and your payment is being processed. Many weeks ago I applied to be a part of this expo. I never received a response to my application - either that my application was received nor that I was "accepted" as a part of the application process. Fast forward today - I get a call from the Event coordinator (never spoken to this person or received any correspondence to would lead me to believe I was "accepted" to participate in this expo) that I not only did not pay my invoice for the expo but that I owed 10 days of late fees and it would continue to grow from there. I asked this woman on the phone "do you send out a letter of acceptance like a normal craft show or expo" and she stated no. She just sent out invoices - I did not see the invoice in my email. This business that represents other businesses clearly has no experience with event management or vendor management, nor understands event planning and management "best practices".
