My name is [redacted]y and I am writing to tell you about a very unprofessional, immature owner of Fox Run Dry Cleaners in Fox Run Shopping Center on Route 40. I took my daughters’ Sr. Prom dress to them after his wife & he (the owner) told me that they would be able to alter some parts of her dress, which turned out to be a total lie!!!! I have taken her dress to them twice and both times was a total disappointment!!!!! The first time I picked it up on 4/16/14 and I had my daughter try it on in store, the hem on all 3 layers of tulle & skirt was very uneven and the straps were altered in a unprofessional way that it looked like my 8 yr. old did it!!! Meanwhile the owner is sitting there saying “My seamstress are the best”, obviously not or else I wouldn’t of had to come back a second time wasting more gas and time!!!!

The so-called seamstress took the extra fabric and flapped it over on the straps and sewed it together, mind you the straps are sheer, and that would’ve been fine maybe if they were solid. I called him (the owner) the next day trying to explain how she messed it up and I couldn’t get a word in edge wise to really tell him how she messed it up and he told me to bring the dress back a day later and they would take care of it.

The second time I picked it up on 4/22/14 and I inspected the dress before I left the store and the straps were a little bit better but still not the way I asked for them to be done and he gave me some half assed excuse for that and the hem looked ok from what I could tell under the plastic cover they put over your clothes, but when I got home and took the plastic off I couldn’t believe my eyes!!!!! There was white chalk lines (on a pink dress) on the bottom of the hem, sequins was falling off, the stitching on the straps was still done poorly and the hem still had uneven cuts and small cuts and snags in it!!!!

We paid a lot of money ($487.50 to be exact) for this dress and for them to just ruin it is so upsetting!!!! I was so angry that I called him that night and let him have it and he was so unprofessional and immature that all he could say was “Well nobody else would help you with the dress so…..” No apology, no nothing, I couldn’t believe it!!!! What kind of businessman does that? It’s not that nobody wanted to help us they didn’t know how because it’s so elaborate, but atleast they were honest up front and not just lie & take our money!!!! And like I told him if you wasn’t sure that your seamstress could do it you should’ve been honest instead and say that you couldn’t do it!!!!

And for him not to inspect her work after she redid the dress a second time is totally stupid to me! I wouldn’t have somebody like her working for me at all and cost me customers doing shoddy work like that. I should not have had to come home and fix the hem myself nor clean the white chalk off of it!!!!!! Common sense should’ve told her lazy, unprofessional behind that!!!! Her attention to detail sucks!!!! I see good help is still very hard to find!!!!!! Needless to say I want my $80.00 back!!!!

The owner is so quick to brag about how many years he’s been in business but his seamstress work isn’t worth a quarter! He charged me $83.50 initially but because my daughter and I went in the store with $80 in cash he accepted that, even though we were going to pay the difference with her debit card, but he said don’t worry about it.

Again I want a full refund of $80.00 because the work I was promised wasn’t delivered and they handled her dress poorly!!!! I would never go back again and I will tell my friends & family to do the same! I took the dress to a REAL professional to correct their mistakes and I can use my refund to pay for it! I’m unemployed and I don’t have money to waste or just give away, so the sooner I can get it the better!
