brought his watch, which was not working, for the battery replacement After the battery replacement, the watch still didn't workWe recommended Mr.*** for cleaning and overhaulHe agreed on to the serviceWe sent it to our technicianThe technician got back with us with the watch inspected, and he advised that rather then cleaning and overhaul, it needs some parts for the side buttons to function We called *** and the original parts were discontinuedAs the watch was sentimental for Mr***, we still tried to make it work by putting the after market parts, but the side buttons still did not work The day he came to pick up his watch ,he was upset because the side buttons weren't workingWe explained to him that the original parts are discontinued, so we still tried to fix it, as it was sentimental for youHe didn't like the idea of us putting the after market partsWe then sent it back to our technician, and he took out this new movement and put back his original movement in the watchWe even gave Mr.*** the entire amou nt back that we charged himWe were above on our service to take care of himBesides this, we did exceptional service for him on our own expense, by sending the watch to *** directly to see if they could fix itWe did inform Mr.*** that *** said "send us the watch ,as sometimes we can fix the original movements." *** called us back on the arrival of the watch ,and they said that they cannot fix the watch because it definitely needs one of the original parts to fix the side buttons so it function properlyWe did explain this to the customerWe think at this point we were above and beyond our service on our own expense to help himWe did everything we could to help Mr.***, but now there is nothing else we can do Sincerely, Fox Valley Watch & Jewelry Repair
