Dear Representative, In response to Ms***'s complaint the short answer is she was refunded her application fee of $on August 11thWe charge a $application fee, allowed by law, to tenants applying for an apartment with usWe have specific selection criteria that all of our tenants
must meet to qualify for an apartment. Respectfully, *** ***

I did say I was refunded in my complaint but I also said it took a month to fight to get my money back because I was unaware of the requirements of the rental application nobody told me you need a credit score of 600 or better til after I applied for an apartment with foxboro . its not on the website we checked all over . if it is they changed it because had I known then I wouldn't have bothered to apply ..
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,

Maintenance Department and office do not communicate at all. I have not dealt with a single employee that hasn't been rude/ unprofessional/ uncooperative towards myself and my roommates. None of us will ever rent from them again and would never recommend them. As long as you never have any maintenance or billing issues you could survive with them, but the chances of those things not happening is slim to none.

This has to be the worst company I've ever had to deal with.
The woman in the office has to be the rudest person I've ever meet. I went in there on behalf of my son who had complained about a leaking roof and mold forming on the ceiling in the living room. They barely addressed the roof, simply placing rubber roofing over the issue and remarkably never even looked at the mold, even after being notified of the 1 month old baby was residing there. We had the health dept there twice confirming mold forming and thet showed absolutely no concern. In the meantime we have gathered enough facts from getting our own sample tested to pursue some avenue legally that will make them finally accept their responsibility.
More so, at no time did I ever even raise my voice, yet this witch continued to verbally abuse me for absolutely no reason. Challenging my character rather than learn to talk like a human being.
At no time should anyone ever rent from this money hungry pseudo management company.
Read 99% of the reviews. Just another crappy rental company. Taking money and advantage of anyone they can.
I have the ability as a member company on Angies List to write a true review of this company. They.have no right to even be a member, key alone one in good standing. Wonder who they paid off to get that started.
Never ever deal with that [redacted] if at all avoidable. It will never be a good experience.
Not only that

I was the tenant at the above address for a year. I definitely can say that my experience was one of the best when I was there. The neighborhood was safe with a variety of ages, and at night when I turned my lights off, I felt safe. Whenever there was anything wrong inside my duplex, I would call Foxboro and they came without hesitation. If I ever needed to rent again, I would definitely use Foxboro. Thank you for making my stay so pleasant.*MW

I want to just say "thank you" to Foxboro Properties in Eau Claire for a great experience in working with them. The staff in the office and the property management were all excellent in meeting our needs and providing a great apartment for our son. Our son recently left the area for a job and the management worked to find someone to rent his apartment, saving our family money. The staff was always prompt in answering phone calls and any questions we had. Most importantly everyone was courteous and respectful. We haven't always seen such treatment from rental companies, so this truly was a positive experience. I would highly recommend Foxboro Properties.

I would like to say to anyone who may consider going through Foxboro Property to please look closely at reviews and talk to others who may have had rented from them.
My husband and I rented our duplex a couple years back. Everything was fine at the time as the Owner actually rented the place to us. Eventually he was to busy to keep up on his properties. He placed the property with Foxboro for management. That is when things took a turn for the worse.
My husband and I take great care of our homes. We took care of everything and made the landscaping amazing. Things that happened with Foxboro:
One spring we had a little too much rain and our storage area in the basement got wet. It was not flooded but we did have water, water damage and mold. We told Foxboro about the issue and after my husband and I spent $300 into cleaning products to get rid of the mold that had grew, Foxboro put in a dehumidifier.
If you are a woman or a man and know anything about maintenance, it is very disheartening when the maintenance man comes over and you tell him that the fridge is not working, he talks to you like you are 2 years old and tells you to put more food into the freezer.
When Foxboro first took over the property they came and did a check of things that needed to be done. One was ordering some parts for the fridge. Never seen them.
Where I get fed up is my family had a death. I have/had a couple months left on our lease. I notified Foxboro that I had no choice to move back home to be with my mom. I wrote them a notice and knew I was breaking the lease. I met with them and we talked and I excepted one of two ways to handle the issue. I chose to show my place until it was rented. Well I started doing showings in the beginning of December 2014. I showed many people and many people liked the place. What has me angered is I have 2 parties that were very interested and they put in there applications. They were denied. One party asked them why? Foxboro would not tell them. It is law that they tell you why you are being denied. Thing is the party was moving from out of state to a new management position and making over twice what rent is. Foxboro denied them and they needed to move right away. The party went on to find a very nice duplex with a high scale Management place. I questioned Foxboro on them and one other party that was interested.
While I am showing this, I would call for updates to see if anyone has been approved. They would say no. All along I have this party that has no negative credit or bad history. Foxboro has told me so many lies that I will no longer be pushed around by them. The Revdex.com will be called and more reviews will be out. I have someone in the media that is looking to do a write up about discrimination. The 2 partys that had all the means to move in were denied. I had another showing where the party wanted to sign a lease and they lied to them saying that someone had got it and was bringing in a check the following morning. I go in that morning and ask them that I heard the duplex was rented. They ask me how I heard that and I said I am in contact with the people I show it to. As they let me know what happened so I know what is going on as Foxboro does not tell the truth. I have kept records and time/date stamp everything. I think if they lie so much they should get their stories straight. I will not be pushed around by people who are worse than slum lords, at least slum lords do not discriminate.
I am so frustrated in writing this, I have a whole list and would be happy to talk with anyone who really wants to know what they are getting themselves into. I have done nothing but try and get it rented. I do not discriminate so this could have been done with in December 2014. As Foxboro chooses to lie and discriminate I will uphold my beliefs in what is right and wrong.

I rented with Foxboro Properties for 3 years total in two seperate locations, and they were very accomodating! Most rental companies make you wait a week when moving from one place to another but Foxboro allowed me to move out of one place and into the new one in the same day. They worked with me to rearrange my move out date, and were always fairly quick with repair requests. I worked mainly with Susan and she was always very friendly and did whatever she could to work with my situation. They always knew me by name when I went in to pay rent and which property I rented. The properties I lived in were clean, comfortable and affordable. I only stopped renting with them because I moved out of state, however if I do ever return to Eau Claire and need housing, Foxboro will be my first stop!

I wanted to take a minute to thank all the individuals working behind the scene's at Foxboro. My wife & I have been living at a Foxboro residence the last 2 years and we have been extremely happy with the professionalism, pride, & fast response to our questions & problems that we may have had through the 2 years. This goes from the front office associates all the way to the maintenance man, [redacted] Thank you all so very much for everything. A+ job and I will recommend your properties to anybody!
I would like to take a special moment to thank [redacted]. On one of the coldest nights during the dreaded winter of 2014, my wife came home from work at approximately 11:00pm at night. I was sleeping and didn't notice it was colder than usual in our home. She found the furnace was not functioning and woke me up. Worried about our 3 month old baby, we immediately called the emergency maintenance phone number and [redacted] arrived on scene about 1 hour later. At midnight, [redacted] tried to get our furnace going but unfortunately didn't have the parts required to fix the problem. He drove to his shop and returned at about 1am with some electric heaters that helped keep our house warm until the problem was fixed. Words cannot describe the appreciation we have for this kind of dedication, especially with a 3 month old baby.
[redacted] treated us as though we were part of his family & that is the same treatment we received from everybody at Foxboro.
Thank you all again for everything you have provided my family.
Sincerely,
B,M,B L

To whom it may concern,
I would like to say that we had a great experience with renting with Foxboro Properties. My husband and I with our two children needed to rent a place while our home was being built. We rented for about 14 months and during this time I can honestly say it was a good experience. If there was a problem with anything needing to be fixed someone was right there fixing it. The property was a duplex in Chippewa Falls, and it was well maintained. We moved right in and didn't have to clean or anything. Thanks for a great rental. [redacted]

Would recommend Foxboro Property Management to anyone looking for an apartment. I rented with Foxboro for a year and found the staff to be very helpful with any concerns and maintenance issues. Very nice apartments.

I live at the MacArthur Feilds Apartments in Eau Claire, WI. I have found that the apartments are not well maintained at all. The grass always looks dead in the summer. The in-house washing machines and dryers do not properly clean and dry, and routinely eat your quarters, despite the fact fact that this a known issue. In the winter, the tenants are threatened with ticketing and towing if their vehicles are not moved by 8am for plowing, when given only 24 hours notice (if we even get notice), and the parking lot isn't even properly plowed. Additionally, many of the locks on the doors to enter the building are broken and allow access to just anyone. I will be leaving when my lease is up, and will not rent with Foxboro again.

Wanted to thank [redacted] from Foxboro. I moved to Eau Claire and looked at some terrible places. I met [redacted] and he made things happen from the being, getting me in places and showing me different properties. I sign a lease the first day because of [redacted] help. I would recommend Foxboro to anyone looking.

We rented from Foxboro for about 5 years and were very pleased with the service. I got to know quite a few of the people that worked with the company and it was clear that they took pride in their work and tried to do the best job possible. Over the 5 years we had minimal problems with our apartment, but when we did, the maintenance department did a good job of fixing the issue.
I have already recommended Foxboro to many friends and acquaintances in the Eau Claire area.

My lease states that I am to pay my own utilities. Foxboro is paying the water and sewer and asking me to pay them the bill plus a $5 administrative fee. I live 4 blocks from my city office and in my lease it states "If applicable, Landlord will re-bill the prorated amount to tenant. There is a $5.00 administrative charge per every bill cycle for this service. Tenant authorizes Landlord to deduct such fees from tenant's security deposit if Tenant fails to pay for such fees upon Landlord's request." The part where it says check if applicable is not checked!

I called and talked to them about this but they said they would not change it! I told them the lease contradicts itself. The only thing they care about is making at least $20,000 a year on this fee if not more! I would really like to know how my $5 fee is really being used for this administrative charge for my water and sewer bill! A stamp doesn't cost $5!!!!!
