Do not believe the bad reviews from some of these people. They have obviously never seen a puppy mill or a low quality breeder. I just got my third puppy from Foxwood Kennel's and they still do a wonderful job with their dogs. Some people just do not understand how a larger breeding service operates. These people know more about dogs than most vets that I have met and can give great advice on training. Every dog I have gotten from Foxwood Kennel’s has been healthy and very smart. These dogs are fed high quality puppy food they are friendly and happy dogs and all of mine have been incredibly easy to train. They only recommendation that I would give to Foxwood Kennel’s is to get some new chairs in the puppy viewing area because that part of the building has not changed for almost 15 years. The paper lined plastic swimming pools that they use to hold the puppies while showing them may put off some people off and I did ask them about this. They use them because it’s something that can be easily cleaned and hosed out as needed, because puppy’s poop a lot especially with they get excited. Bottom line is that this is a very good place to get a healthy, happy puppy that has an honest health guarantee, vet discount coupons and high quality started food kit. The owners are kind to their animals and the dogs are well cared for and have a good temperament.

We couldn't be happier with our dogs from Foxwood kennels. I would suggest that people look at their website and contact the owner before purchasing any dog at any kennel. Many people who are complaining have never even been to the kennel but are only making assumptions. Genetic problems can occur in any dog regardless of breeding. Foxwood Kennels made us aware of this but they do everything they can to prevent it including having health testing and x-rays done on breeding dogs.

The owner and assistant were very friendly and helpful. The dogs are beautiful, and I really appreciated the process of picking out a puppy. We bought a German Shepherd puppy in February and were assured they have a guarantee against hip dysplasia. The problem is that she developed dysplasia VERY quickly. We weren't sure that that was it and figured it was just growing pains and goofy puppy gait. However, we got her x-rayed in August and, sure enough, dysplasia in BOTH hips. This was the Renegade/Guiness litter. Our guarantee? If we are willing to give her up (who is absolutely 100% thoroughly dedicated to us) to be put down, we can have a new puppy. We don't want a new puppy - we love this one, we've already gone through the entire puppyhood process, and could seriously use the 'guarantee' money to get her a new hip. They set the guarantee up this way KNOWING that it looks good for them to be able to say they have a guarantee but also that it's exceedingly unlikely they'll ever have to do anything about it. Very sad the puppy has to go through this due to breeding, but not going to throw her away like a misprinted coffee mug either.
