I informed Fraccavento that the work that I paid for has still not passed NYC Dept. of Buildings inspection.  I made it very clear that I either want this job done correctly, or I want my money back in full.  I have bank statements that clearly show Fraccavento took payment from me.  I have a signed contract with Fraccavento's name on it.  I also have a notice from the DOB that Fraccavento's electrical work does meet proper code.I want this issue resolved immediately..

Review: Fraccavento Electric Co. completed a job for $11,500 but their work failed a NYC Dept. of Buildings inspection.I entered into a contract with Fraccavento Electric Co. to install a new electric meter, a new panel, a new 150 amp switch, and to connect that electric service to a heat/AC unit of the roof of the building. We agreed on a price of $8,500.Our contract was signed in May 2014. In mid-June I was told that the cost of the job would be $3,000 more than our agreed price of $8,500. I paid the additional $3,000 plus the balance of the contract by June **, 2014. I paid the balance of the contract before the new meter had been installed, and before we had had an inspection by [redacted] or the NYC Department of Buildings. The person who conducted the work is named [redacted]. I called him several times over the months of July, August, and September 2014, but my calls, emails, and text messages went unanswered.A new meter was installed in November 2014.The NYC Department of Buildings conducted an inspection of the work on December *, 2014. The inspector informed me that the work was not done according to code. The inspection failed.I have already opened a case with the Buildings Special Investigations Unit at the Department of Buildings. I can provide copies of our contract, receipts, and copies of all cancelled checks..Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund for the cost of this job, totaling $11,500, plus additional damages. Damages include but are not limited to: fines from the Dept. of Buildings, loss of revenue stemming from a malfunctioning heat/AC unit, time spent away from work.
