Thank you for giving Pingel Enterprise an opportunity to respond to Mr [redacted] position Pingel Enterprise is an industry leader in fuel delivery products Pingel is synonymous with performance fuel valves in the motorsports industry This product is one of our flag ship products, which we take great pride in manufacturing When we heard that MrCooper had an issue we wanted to see the components so we could determine what was causing his problemsThe Pingel fuel valve that was purchased includes an adapter plate for mounting that has matching threads to correspond with the valve body This is where the problem arises When we unpackaged the returned part, the damage to the threads was obvious The customer states that the threads were damaged due to no fault of his own The information he provided didn’t match up to obvious details provided by the damaged partsFirst of all the valve had obviously been installed on his motorcycle Tell-tale signs were the smell of gas, and tool marks all over the body of the valve Large amounts of force was applied to the body to make the damage that was on the faces of the part Our installation instructions state that NPT threads need to have Teflon tape used to seal the threads There was PFTE paste improperly used No signs of tape were ever found, and this had a direct effect on why the damage occurred If the two parts are installed together without tape the threads will leaks Incorrectly, the next step then followed would be to apply more force to tighten the valve to stop leakage The excessive force applied is then what damages the threads The warranty states coverage is for defects in parts and workmanship and doesn’t cover damage due to incorrect installation When these two parts are packaged the adapter plates are spun on to the valve body by hand You can literally spin them on and off with one finger The obvious damage to the valve body and threads was due to overtightening, not using Teflon tape as instructed, and not following installation requirements All of this information was provided to MrCooper Even though Pingel isn’t at fault, a large discount was offered on replacement parts This resolution was declined and he requested the original parts be returnedBest Regards, [redacted]

Thank you for giving Pingel Enterprise an opportunity to respond to Mr. [redacted] position.  Pingel Enterprise is an industry leader in fuel delivery products.  Pingel is synonymous with performance fuel valves in the motorsports industry.  This product is one of our flag ship...

products, which we take great pride in manufacturing.  When we heard that Mr. Cooper had an issue we wanted to see the components so we could determine what was causing his problems. The Pingel fuel valve that was purchased includes an adapter plate for mounting that has matching threads to correspond with the valve body.  This is where the problem arises.  When we unpackaged the returned part, the damage to the threads was obvious.  The customer states that the threads were damaged due to no fault of his own.  The information he provided didn’t match up to obvious details provided by the damaged parts. First of all the valve had obviously been installed on his motorcycle.  Tell-tale signs were the smell of gas, and tool marks all over the body of the valve.  Large amounts of force was applied to the body to make the damage that was on the faces of the part.  Our installation instructions state that NPT threads need to have Teflon tape used to seal the threads.  There was PFTE paste improperly used.  No signs of tape were ever found, and this had a direct effect on why the damage occurred.  If the two parts are installed together without tape the threads will leaks.  Incorrectly, the next step then followed would be to apply more force to tighten the valve to stop leakage.  The excessive force applied is then what damages the threads.  The warranty states coverage is for defects in parts and workmanship and doesn’t cover damage due to incorrect installation.  When these two parts are packaged the adapter plates are spun on to the valve body by hand.  You can literally spin them on and off with one finger.  The obvious damage to the valve body and threads was due to overtightening, not using Teflon tape as instructed, and not following installation requirements.  All of this information was provided to Mr. Cooper.  Even though Pingel isn’t at fault, a large discount was offered on replacement parts.  This resolution was declined and he requested the original parts be returned. Best Regards, [redacted]
