Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have a few things the clear up regarding Santa Motors response •The inspection done by [redacted] is irrelevant to this situation , I spoke with [redacted] @ [redacted] in Irondequoit this morning and checking the transmission for leaks of anything is not part of a NYS inspection, so to mention it is completely irrelevant• I absolutely did tell them from the very beginning that I believed the leak was coming from the tail shaft .( pictures can prove that there has been no visible evidence of a leake on the pan at all but instead very visible from the tail shaft ) •the 2nd repair to the transmission gasket was NOT done as a favor to me , it was covered under the 12/warranty from the first repair- and actually according to the original invoice the repair was done with a Ford OE part # as a transmission gasket and the 2nd repair was done with a squeeze tube of gasket and not an OE gasket as indicated on the invoice that was billed to the warranty company .( you can see clearly in the pictures that the gasket is indeed a squeezable gasket and not an OE gasket.) •prior to January 13th I did infact make numerous calls to Santa Motors service center leaving voicemails with no return calls- I can easily get a call log print out from [redacted] to verify if necessary• when I picked up the truck I did point out that it was still leaking and never agreed that it was water because it was clearly red fluid but I did agree that it could have been left over fluid( trusting that they did exactly what they said they did and power washed it) • I did I fact sign off on all repair trusting that they were telling me the truth and fixing the actual issues • I do use the truck for work but pull a trailer with a max load of trailer + load of lbs which is clearly way under the factory max towing capacity and have a certified scale weigh ticket to prove• all the pictures that I provided can easily prove my argument that there was a clear and obvious leake not coming from where they said but instead it was coming from exactly where I said it wasAlso in the pictures you can clearly see that it has been an ongoing issue and not something that just happene the day I picked it upWhich is my argument that they repaired something that wasn't necessary and overlooked an obvious issue that was impossible to miss if you were working on the transmission pan• I have already paid for the CORRRECT repairs and only want this to be acknowledged that Santa Motors made numerous repairs to my truck that were not necessary and somehow overlooked a clear issue ( as pictured), maybe they should have their mechanics retrained if they are not able to notice an obvious problem while working on a vehicle The only reason they knew it was the tail shaft is because I had to tell them I physically saw it Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com:At this time, my complaint, ID [redacted] regarding Kith NYC has been resolvedI filed a case with [redacted] for resolution [redacted] returned in my favor and Kith refunded all my money The case filed via [redacted] has been resolved and closed (By clicking "OK", your complaint will be closed as Resolved.) *** Smith purchased a vehicle from Santa Motors that has a manual shift transmission Both, *** and his Mom came to the dealership together to purchase the vehicle At that time, ***'s mom stated she would test drive the vehicle because *** was not familiar in operating a
manual shift On the day of delivery, ***'s mom drove the vehicle off the lot to take the car home as *** was not trained to drive the vehicle
A few hours later in the day at about 8p in the evening, *** called to let us know that he and his friend had taken out the vehicle and the clutch was no longer working Santa Motors sent our mechanic with the tow truck who drove to the location where *** had driven the vehicle (approx miles away) and found a strong burn odor indicative of the clutch having been misused in direct result of unfamiliarity of using a manual transmission
Upon evaluating the event and being more than considerate by offering the concession to meet *** half way with the cost to fix the clutch despite it having been in full working order at the time of delivery, *** agreed to proceeding as outlined.
This complaint to the Revdex.com was filed by *** without further communications and unbeknownst to Santa Motors despite Santa Motors above and beyond efforts to help ***

Dear Revdex.com,585-319-3064Fax: 585-544-E Ridge Rd, Rochester, NY 14621February 13,2017Santa Motors has investigated the complaint filed by *** ***.*** signed a Sales Contract which showed the transaction properly. The down payment is reflected as $and is disclosed
properlyIt isproperly shown on the Sales Contract. The customer accepted and signed for a vehicle service contract whichreflected a cost of $1936.00, it was disclosed on the Sales Contract as wellas the vehicle service contract agreement. As far as manipulation that did not occur, we purchased the vehicle 12-1-16, the vehicle was inspected and passed inspection 12-6-at Firestoneand was delivered 12-16-16.We did not adjust the mileage on any agreement, the inspection reflectedand so did the Sales Contract, vehicle service contract and MV82which was needed to register the vehicleThe vehicle was registered withthe mileage as stated on the inspection, 90303.The claim that we miscalculated the financing is not true as the salescontract reflects how the deal was financed.Attached is a copy of the sales contract, vehicle service contract and MV82.We will consider this matter closed

Santa Motors takes all complaints seriously and looks into each case***
*** purchased a vehicle on 12-12-As the transactions belowshows, *** does not have a refund dueThis has been explained to hermultiple timesWhile a refund for fees was discussed, there wereadditional fees
incurred because Joan did not have the title available forher trade in.We provided a breakdown on fees to *** ***, $for duplicatetitle from NJ, $for lien search on vehicle from NJ, $for transportationtime and $for filing paperworkAll copies of paperwork are attached aswell, breakdown of total, copy of NJ Title, duplicate title filing andassociated lien search from New Jersey. The customer also complains that there was a lack of communicationWeactually met with her in Bergen times based on her request. As the transaction shows *** does not have a refund due

*** *** purchased a caravan from Santa Motors in August of Prior to finalizing the purchase, *** and her husband took the vehicle for a test drive, and there was no written problem about a
noise. The vehicle passed a NY state inspection that was conducted by a nationally recognized service center *** came to the dealership in December of 2014, and expressed she no longer wanted a caravan Instead she wanted an SUV She also mentioned there was one item of concern she wanted us to address This involved a squeaky noise that occurred randomly when making a sharp, right hand turn. At that time, *** Santa with *** and her children took the vehicle for a test drive which took minute prior to being able to replay the noise Under driving conditions, the noise could not be duplicated *** Santa then decided to take the vehicle to a safe parking lot and make numerous, repeated right and left hand turns and the noise would occasionally occur upon right hand turns. *** Santa let *** know it was a fan belt and was not a safety issue *** Santa also let her know that Santa Motors would address this item at no cost to her even though it is a maintenance item and the responsibility of the customerThe dealership proceeded to coordinate a time to arrange for the loaner vehicle availability to schedule the work as *** did not want to drop the vehicle off her vehicle without having a loaner vehicle The work was scheduled for weeks after her initial visit at the dealership but prior to the appointment *** lost the heat in her vehicle which we took in to service that day and repaired both items the same day We also worked with *** and offered to pick up the vehicle from her place of work and to drop it off upon completion of the work. Santa Motors completed the work as promised The noise was a by-product of a squeaky fan belt which we replaced at no charge to the customer
In the meantime, *** called the bank that financed her vehicle and asked them if they would make Santa Motors take back the vehicle so she could purchase an SUV instead The bank let her know there is a legally binding contract between *** and the bank that was over months old I also explained the same to *** *** then asked whether she could trade in her vehicle, and I let her know the bank would require a down payment to do so *** expressed she did not want to put any money down. Therefore, trading in her vehicle did not become a viable optionFrom our standpoint, we provided *** with service that addressed her concerns as well as the viable options and requirements needed needed in order to exchange her caravan to an SUV
***

Since this complaint was issued, *** came to the dealership and picked up the vehicle ***'s concern was that he would not be able to pay off the vehicle early This is not the case as Credit Acceptance will allow an early payoff Sincerely,Mary R***Santa

Received call from business (Mary) stating that the consumer has her title and this complaint has been resolved

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have a few things the clear up regarding Santa Motors response .•The inspection done by [redacted] is irrelevant to this situation , I spoke with [redacted] @ [redacted] in Irondequoit this morning and checking the transmission for leaks of anything is not part of a NYS inspection, so to mention it is completely irrelevant.• I absolutely did tell them from the very beginning that I believed the leak was coming from the tail shaft .( pictures can prove that there has been no visible evidence of a leake on the pan at all but instead very visible from the tail shaft )•the 2nd repair to the transmission gasket was NOT done as a favor to me , it was covered under the 12/12 warranty from the first repair- and actually according to the original invoice the repair was done with a Ford OE part # as a transmission gasket and the 2nd repair was done with a squeeze tube of gasket and not an OE gasket as indicated on the invoice that was billed to the warranty company .( you can see clearly in the pictures that the gasket is indeed a squeezable gasket and not an OE gasket.)•prior to January 13th I did infact make numerous calls to Santa Motors service center leaving voicemails with no return calls- I can easily get a call log print out from [redacted] to verify if necessary.• when I picked up the truck I did point out that it was still leaking and never agreed that it was water because it was clearly red fluid but I did agree that it could have been left over fluid( trusting that they did exactly what they said they did and power washed it)• I did I fact sign off on all repair trusting that they were telling me the truth and fixing the actual issues .• I do use the truck for work but pull a trailer with a max load of trailer + load of 4100 lbs which is clearly way under the factory max towing capacity and have a certified scale weigh ticket to prove.• all the pictures that I provided can easily prove my argument that there was a clear and obvious leake not coming from where they said but instead it was coming from exactly where I said it was. Also in the pictures you can clearly see that it has been an ongoing issue and not something that just happene the day I picked it up. Which is my argument that they repaired something that wasn't necessary and overlooked an obvious issue that was impossible to miss if you were working on the transmission pan.• I have already paid for the CORRRECT repairs and only want this to be acknowledged that Santa Motors made numerous repairs to my truck that were not necessary and somehow overlooked a clear issue ( as pictured), maybe they should have their mechanics retrained if they are not able to notice an obvious problem while working on a vehicle . On 3/30/2015 [redacted] E [redacted] purchased a 2004 Ford
F150 from Santa Motors, Inc.   Prior to
that time, the vehicle passed inspection on 3/28/2015 at Firestone, a
nationally recognized service center.Below, please find the sequence of events:Sept 10, 2015, [redacted] had an...

appointment with the Santa Motors Service Center.[redacted] stated that he believed there was a leak coming from the transmission pan. Unlike the complaint provided to the Revdex.com, [redacted] never stated the leak was coming from the rear of the transmission. Santa Motors service center proceeded to replace
the transmission pan gasket as it was covered under the extended warranty with
the $100 deductible.  Additionally, [redacted] signed off on the work performed on the truck.  At that time, there were no cracks nor leaks in
the tail shaft as well as no other problems and everything checked out fine.January 13, 2015, [redacted] called the service center. There had been no other service calls from [redacted] since Sept 10th. At that time, [redacted] stated there was still a leak from the previous repair of the transmission pan. As a favor to [redacted], Santa Motors replaced the transmission pan gasket, transmission fluid and power washed underneath the truck to clean up any previous fluid leaks. This was done at no cost to [redacted]. In addition, while the truck was at the service center, Robert (Santa Motors mechanic) noticed that the driver side window stopped working, and with permission from [redacted], Santa Motors replaced the driver side window’s motor which was covered under the extended warranty with a standard $100 deductible. When [redacted] arrived to pick up the truck, he stated he noticed the truck looked like it was still leaking, and Robert let [redacted] know the truck was power washed underneath to clean it up from previous leaks. Both, Robert and [redacted] witnessed the visible liquid to be only water dripping off from the power wash.[redacted] then gave the truck a look over and signed off on the work done to the truck. January 16, 2016.[redacted] called the dealership and asked for Joe.At that time, [redacted] stated the transmission was still leaking.Joe asked [redacted] to bring the truck in for another look. There was a crack in the rear tail shaft housing. This is not covered by the extended warranty because it is not considered to be a part that breaks down based on normal ware and tare.[redacted] uses the truck for commercial use transporting and carrying heavy loads which may have caused the strain on the tailshaft housing. In summary, [redacted] can call his extended warranty company
and contest their decision.  This is not
a decision made by Santa Motors.  Rather,
it is a claim being declined by [redacted], the extended warranty company on the
premise that normal ware and tare would not cause a crack in the rear tail
shaft housing.
