The owner is a crook and rude. He made the mistake of not assuring that his rule about subbing fries require a different price on the *** app and snatched my food out of my hand. He also charged my card more money without my consent. *** is kind enough to issue a refund. Before any of this, I attempted to remove an item from my order but he refused to do so, but as mentioned above he snatched my food out my hand. That means he was willing to throw the whole order out. So, why not remove that item so that I could stay in my budget? This is why black people don't support black-owned businesses. No customer service or home training. White folks would have tried to make the issue right. I should have gone to *** a like I first thought. Don't get robbed like I did and they will rob you. Let this be your last resort for eating out. And the food was not all that good.
I am sorry that I apparently misunderstood the situation with this driver for ***. It is clear to me that we do not give curly fries or large drinks for free...that is not my custom. It is clear on the site there is an extra charge if you want to change from regular fries to curly fries or from a 16 oz to a 32 oz drink. You are expected to pay for your order. This customer who just happens to be a driver for *** knows how to correct his order. NO MONEY CHANGES HANDS......it is digita transactionl as this driver knows.
He had several options:
- given the chance to change or cancel the order before arriving( more than once)
- he was given the chance after talking to the my staff on arrival
- he was given more that one option again when he talked to me: I gave him the option of calling *** on the spot to change his order( he refused to do so), I gave him the chance to take the order( he refused to do so again) and stated he would take the order and cancel it all. I gave him the option of doing just that and took the order off the counter where he placed it after refusing to accept it.
I spent several minutes explaining to him how to adjust or cancel the order and he refused every offer. He finally stated he wanted the order as it stood. I am still appalled at how some people use the race card to justify being petty and cheap and always aiming to get something for free. It is unbecoming in an adult in this day and age.
And by the way, while he could not reach his employer to change the order, he did reach them to complain about the options he was given and I know because *** called.
By the way, his language left something to be desired....we had customers in the store at the time of his tirade and female employees. I do not expect to offer future service to Mr. I believe his name was.
I have been doing this for a little while and we make our own share of mistakes. I will not be bullied or intimidated into providing free meals. This is not a case of an honest disagreement. This is an individual who wants the cheapest route available regardless of who has to take a loss
