Hello ***:
I have had it with Franco. They are playing games and I am done with him.
On Saturday, 11/15, Franco’s guys build concrete steps on my neighbor’s house (doors down from me) He said that they could have worked on my property that day. He said that they knocked on my door and nobody answered-which is a lie. I was there. I told him that I came out the house and one of his men spoke to me and I responded with a hello. They never asked to work on my property.
On Friday, 11/21, Franco called and said that he will be over tomorrow but he couldn’t pinpoint a time because he has to pour steps in the morning and then he would be overOn Saturday, 11/22, two of Franco’s guys came to my house and started working on shaving the concrete down. I happen to hear them out there and came outside. I told the one guy who was sitting on the truck to knock on the back door when he was ready to have the back door open so that they could gauge how much should be shaved offHe knocked on the door and I opened the back door. He shaved it so it could open all of the way, but I still heard it rubbing on the cement. I asked him to grind it down some more, and he told me that it wasn’t rubbing that much. I said, “that is my point. It shouldn’t be rubbing at all.” He said that he had to come back again either Monday orTuesday and cut slits into the concrete. I asked him to make sure he grinds the concrete down some moreOn Sunday, 11/23, Franco called and left a message for me to call him. I returned his call on Tuesday, 11/24 and he said that they guys told him that I said everything was perfect. I told Franco that I did not say that. I told him that the door can be opened, but it is still rubbing on the cement. I also told him that the guy “Ray” told me that he had to cut slits in the cement to even it out and Ray said that he would be back either Monday or Tuesday. Franco said that he would talk to his guys and get back to meAs of Saturday, 12/6, I have not heard from Franco

Within weeks of the completed job, the concrete cracked. I have contacted Franco Concrete countless times via telephone and text asking, begging, and advising that action will be taken -- promises to repair the concrete never happen. I paid thousands of dollars for a quality that was substandard and a refusal to repair the work. Beware of Franco Concrete!

Hi [redacted]:
Attached are the pictures that show the concrete driveway.  You will see where the door starts to drag and get stuck on the concrete.  The last picture shows one of the seven pictures that I took when the concrete was being poured. (Franco said in his letter that I was not home when the concrete was being poured.)

Review: On Thursday, July 24, 2014, Franco started work on my concrete driveway. His job was to build a new concrete driveway, a retaining wall, and steps to my yard. Everything went well that day and the next day he returned to pour the concrete for the driveway and work on the wall.

On Saturday, July 26th, I tried to open the back door which leads to the driveway and could not completely open it. I told him about it and he instantly got agitated telling me that the job is professional. I told him that the job looked good, but what good is it if I cannot open my door. He told me that he would be back on Monday.

On Monday, July 28th, his crew arrived early to build the steps to my yard. When Franco arrived, I came outside to confront him about the door not being able to open.

At approximately 3:30 pm the steps were completed and Franco asked if he could get paid so he could go to the bank at that time. I asked if his worker was going to stay around to finished the job and shave the cement so I would be able to open the door. He said yes. One of the workers worked on the concrete using an instrument to shave down the cement, but that back door was still dragging on the concrete. When Franco returned, I told him that the door was still dragging and I want to be able to open the door without it dragging on the concrete. He got upset and told me that the door can open completely. I told him that the door is still dragging and I will now have a problem with the door.

On Wednesday, July 30th, I called Franco and said “I would like for you to come out and shave more concrete off because the door is still dragging. He said that he could come back next week.

On Wednesday, August 6th, I called Franco just after 6:00 pm and asked if I could make an appointment for Saturday for him to come out to complete the job. He said that he would come out but to call him on Friday evening, August 8th. I asked him if he could come out Saturday morning and he said it may be later that day depending on his schedule.

On Friday, August 8th, I called Franco at 6:45 pm. His voicemail picked up and I left a message asking him to give me a call and let me know when he could come out on Saturday to work on my driveway.

On Saturday, August 9th, I called Franco about 8:30 am. His voicemail picked up and I left a message asking him if he was going to come over to complete the job. I also asked him to call me. I called Franco’s cell phone again about 12:05 pm. Someone other than Franco picked up his cell phone and said that Franco was not in the office.

As of Friday, September 12, 2014, I have yet to hear from Franco.Desired Settlement: I would like Franco to come out when I'm home to complete the job and to guarantee that the concrete will be OK for years to come. I do have concerns about the concrete being built up high by the door. I am concerned that during a heavy rain that water may come into my house.
