Thank you for providing us a copy of the complaint that was filed with your office by [redacted] has represented [redacted] for many years in the collection of their returned checks. Our program is a secondary check recovery program, which means we only receive checks to collect after...

they have been returned by another collection service to [redacted] as “uncollected”. In this situation the primary agency that attempted to collect this check prior to our company with [redacted].  On 5/11/17, [redacted] referred to us [redacted] check # [redacted] issued to [redacted] on 1/26/17, in the amount of $74.77. If [redacted] had reported this check to  as a fraud item, the check would have not been forwarded to us as the secondary agency. Our records also indicate that [redacted] has never contacted our office and notified us that the check was fraud. Your complaint served us is the first notice to us that this check was fraudulently issued to [redacted].   In reference to [redacted] desired settlement, [redacted] is not a scam company and we do represent [redacted]. We in fact report directly to their treasury office located in [redacted] on a daily basis. We have changed the status of [redacted] check to a fraud status on our systems, and we will also advise [redacted] that the check should be considered as a fraud. We would also suggest that [redacted] should provide us an affidavit of fraud to validate the record that the account is in fact a fraud for this is normally what is done in these type situations. [redacted]   I spoke to a [redacted] concerning the check in august [redacted] explained the calls and the letters sent was in error and the check would be                      deleted from their systems because it showed paid.  The November check dated 20th for 3472 I disputed and still disputing.  I spoke to [redacted]                      in November he claimed once again this check also was and error and would be deleted from their files. I received a letter dated December 20th 2017                      I received the letter on December 27th and called got [redacted] again and I was angry and ask to speak to the supervisor and [redacted] stated he                      was the supervisor time of call was 3:07 p/m he claims they forgot to deleted the paid check from their files. I get a call from a [redacted] about this                      check I refused to discuss with him and I ask for someone much higher than them. He gave me a name a [redacted] in [redacted]                       telephone number [redacted].  Received letter dated January16th 2018 demand payment of check 3472 apparently CPS is going to take legal actions.                      They state they did not contact me by letter until after December 15th so all of these other calls and people are what.  So I will see them in court                       as the January 16th letter states.
