12/**/14 While we were mostly satisfied with the roofing job, I would NOT recommend Valerio Contracting. [redacted] sold us on quality, workmanship and aftercare warrantees. We were quoted by another Vendor for approximately $10,000 less and wish we had gone that route.

One important aspect of the job for us was the replacement or restoration of an eyebrow window in our 100+ year Victorian. The [redacted] had on-site conversations with us concerning the window; we were in agreement that it would be best to address it while they were already on the roof.

Apparently there was a "misunderstanding", so we accepted that there would be an additional charge for the window and labor associated with it. That discussion happened over 8 weeks ago. [redacted] represented that he had ordered a custom window, but my Husband and I have no proof of purchase, paperwork/pricing or even an ETA. The eyebrow window was the ONLY reason that we chose his much higher quote. Valerio Contracting had a reputation for being a quality company that frequently worked on Victorian Homes like ours.

In the past 8 weeks, I have tried to reach [redacted] by phone calls to his cell, text messages and emails to his Secretary. It was only when I mentioned that I would be writing a review for the Revdex.com site that he returned my call concerning possible water leakage around the chimney.

This was a very big job; we paid for assurances that the appropriate aftercare and support would be provided. Water is a serious issue and to this date, Valerio Contracting has not provided a verbal or written finding of what the condition of the chimney was after the completion of their job and also our first significant snowfall.

Additionally, we can't get a straight answer as to whether our custom window (and another door) were actually order 8 weeks ago. So now we find ourselves in the middle of the winter, not knowing if we have a window and door coming...

If you have the time and are prepared to chase Valerio Contracting after your final payment, you may not experience the same disappointments that we have. Otherwise, I would recommend another Contractor.
