So I am confused, why would the 14 inches of tile have a line between the 8 inches and the 6 inches if this what they say is true? I also wonder why they didn’t put the shelf in the measurements. It just does not make sense if this is their excuse. This is just a business trying to cover themselves when a mistake was made on their end.

This unit
was installed according to fireplace and building code specs and dimensions
that were discussed with the homeowner multiple times. The customer visited our showroom numerous
times, for hour’s worth of conversations, to see this fireplace and go over all
questions that she had. She wanted to
get the mantle as low as possible so she could put her television above
it. We went over that the clearance from
the fireplace to the mantle is 14” and could not be altered. We also suggested that the size of her mantle
could be made smaller, which it was to accommodate the height she wanted.
As for the
drawing, that was a sketch of what she told the installer she was looking to
do. He told her that we could not meet
those measurements and reiterated what was told to her about the 14”
clearance. Please note that the 6” and
the 8” total the 14” needed to the clearance at the bottom of the mantle. There is nothing on this paper that says
these were the final measurements. These
are assumptions that she has made or maybe she is confusing it with what was
told to her at the someplace else she keeps talking about.
There will
be no further refund given. Ms. [redacted] has
already tried to cancel her credit card payment, a claim which was denied.
This is the paper he wrote the measurements we agreed upon. When we were talking I asked if we were on the same page with the measurements. That is when he grabbed this paper from my file and wrote down the "Picture" of what the measurements we talked about were. You see it says TV, then a line, then 6 for 6 inches of mantel, a line then 8 for 8 inches of tile. Then there was the space he left for the fireplace. Under that is where he wrote 8 for 8 inches of hearth. Thank you.

Prior to completion she agreed to and signed off on a $500 reduction and to have the work completed by others. The price she has listed reflects a $500.00 reduction. After agreeing to the reduced price, she called about a week later and asked if we could come out and redo the tile and drywall. We agreed and scheduled an appointment for a future date. She then cancelled that appointment via voice mail with no explanations. As for her refund request, she has already been issued a reduced price of $500.00 that she agreed too. The dimensions that were shown on the display with a clearance of 14” cannot be adjusted per code and therefore no further adjustments can be made.
I preordered 3 tons of dry creek pellets..first ton I got wasn't dry creek but was a good pellet..when I went to pick up my last 2 tons of pellets they were the instant heat..I said ok as the guy seemed pretty knowledgable..worst pellets ever..was told conflicting stories by two main employees why dry creek wasn't in stock..was told if I wasn't happy I could return the pellets myself for a refund..I never received a phone call or anything about them not being able to get the specific pellets I preordered..place is a joke with horrible customer service..
