Laura Powell winthis is exactly what she replied before. she did not even imply that the agency could but chose not to delete off credit reportnot until I called the following Monday and told her she lied about it being illegal and that I was reporting her. I don't know how to rectify this but she lied and it was wrongShe also knew what I needed her to do when I was there and made me think she was complying when reporting a debt paid is not the same thing as deleting it from the credit reportIm positive she knew this and knew I did not until our finance company told meThis is wrong

I did tell her that I had been told that we could get fined, and that my company will not be paying a fine for someone not paying their bill. I had office employees in the office at the time the debt was paid and when I received the phone call. I would never nor have I ever told
anyone in thirteen years that it was illegal. I told her this morning that it is NOT illegal, it is a company policy and I choose not to delete. NOTE: If collection agencies deleted everything a debtor had on their credit report, we would have NO CREDIT to have a credit report. So, NO, my company does not and will not deleteIt is unfortunate that their mortgage company told them this information. Not ALL agencies delete records

I have sent a letter via fax to the mortgage company stating there is a zero balance, and I have also reported the zero balance to thecredit bureausI feel I've addressed the complaint to the best of my ability
