The desk that Ms [redacted] is claiming was damaged is a desk that is made from a kit that you put together and is made of pressboard or partical boardAetna stamps on our inventory or bill of lading that we are not responsible for moving this type of furniture unless it is disassembled before movingI did make an offer of $to her but she would not accept it

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] As I have stated in my original complaint, as well as my previous response, the additional pieces added to my move amounted to 1/additional hours of time at an hourly rate of $140, which should have only added $to the $that was quoted to me for the original moveFurther, I was not with the movers all day to over see the moving, I was busy packing in other areas of the house and I left several times to buy them meals and drinksI stated several times that I was not satisfied with the price quoted to me at the end of the day because it was well over the original quoteThis is a dishonest company and I will never use them again and I will inform others of their dishonest practices as well [redacted]

As the customer stated we do charge a two hour minimum for any moves we doWe explain this to the customer when they book there move with usThis is due to us reserving that time slot for the customer with the truck and two of our menThe men prepped the truck with moving pads and dollies and so forth in preparation for the move and then we sent the crew to the address she gave usThe customer decided to cancel the move after they arrivedIf she would have called us the day before to cancel the move there would not have been the chargeWe are sorry for any confusion or misunderstanding about this and wish the customer would have notified us as soon as she knew the move was cancelled

Tell We did move the Jackson family on the dates of 04/29/17, and 05/01/ On the first day of the move, the 29th, one of our employees was injuredHis elbow became swollen and incapacitated and he was unable to continue to perform his dutiesTwo trucks were used for this move and when the first truck was filled to capacity the injured employee returned to base and then followed up with a doctorIt was unfortunate that this happened and of course the charges for the day were reduced in consideration of one less manOn the second day, the 30th, an additional truck was dispatched to the Jackson’s residence as the first two trucks were insufficient to carry all of the Jackson’s goodsSince the estimate quoted trucks and men, we did not charge for the additional truckWe only charged the labor at the straight time rate even though it was a Sunday and double time is the standard rate On May 1st we did deliver the Jackson’s belongings to their new homeThe Jackson’s directed our crew to place items in the garage areaOur crew would have happily placed the items in the correct room of the house as that is normally what is doneHowever, the Jacksons requested the garage to save time and space to unpackWe did receive a call from MrsJackson concerning her vanity leg and some dishes as well as a lamp shade she claimed were broken during the moveWe did pick up her vanity and had it repaired and dropped it back off per her instructionAs for the dishes, these were packed by the Jacksons, and we do not cover items that we did not packWe have no idea what condition these items were in or if they were packed correctlyWe do have a packing service we offer but this was declined by the customerMrsJackson did send photographs of the damaged items which included a broken plate, a chipped casserole dish and what I was led to believe is a damaged lamp shadeI have attached images for youThis certainly was not $worth of damage, even if we were responsible Although the owner of the company did a walk thru, many times the customer will direct the estimator that certain items are not going to be included with the move, but these items end up being moved anywaysThis move required a third truck which wasn’t originally planned for due to the volume of goodsThe customer was not charged for this extra truck We had loaned the Jacksons $worth of cartons for their moveWe did not charge for storage of their household goods while they remained in our possession as is customaryWe did not charge time and one half for the Saturday labor nor the double time for Sunday’s laborWe also did not charge for the additional truck that was not included in the estimate Considering the length of time between the service dates and the submission of this complaint, we wonder what prompted her to file this complaint over seven months later and not make a call to us at all during this timeus why here

Aetna never offered me $for the damage [redacted] just said he "thought" that was what Dennis was offering Besides that it would be impossible to replace for $Again, it would cost me about $to replacePlease reconsider thisThis is more than fair.Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have stated what it would take to resolve this matter which is $in damagesThey have had multiple complaints online and through the Revdex.comThey need to take responsibility of excessive damageThe reason it has been this length of time is that we tried to resolve the issue with the company firstThe second reason is now at Christmas we found more items damaged and we were unaware they were as they were Christmas decorations Regards, [redacted]

Our position standsThe customer is being unreasonable and hasn't even paid there billWe gave them the total which is on there bill which we have attachedThe total was there for the customer of $and they provided us a credit card number to runYou can see it right on the billWe attempted numerous times to run it and it was declinedYou can see that as wellWhy would the customer give us the credit card if they didn't intend to pay the billWe provided the service, the customer signed the bill of lading that all items were received in good order, and now we expect to be paid

We did perform a move for Mrand Mrs***On September 1st we inventoried there belongings and moved them into our storage, as they requestedWhen this move was scheduled they were offered a three man crew but only wanted the two man crewThis made the move take longerThe move was paid
for on that date with a credit card which included storage in the amount of $They called in and requested there belongings to be delivered on September 15th which we didWe started loading there shipment at 7am then preceded to there residence in *** to unloadThis was a minute driveThere shipment did not all fit on the truck so they did have to make a second trip with the rest of there shipmentThey did end up working twelve hours that day delivering there shipment, which we only charged at straight time and no over time, but we did deduct one hour to compensate the extra tripThere total came to $and we were instructed to put it on there credit cardWe ran the credit card and it was declinedWe have made numerous attempts to contact the ***s but they have not returned any callsWhen the move was completed on the 15th they did sign the bill of lading stating all items were received in good orderThe only damage that was reported to us was some broken dishes in a boxThe customer did there own packing so we are not liable for the contents that are brokenWe do not know if they were packed correctlyNow they are making accusations that there was more damage and also looking for a refund when they haven't even paid there billThey are being totally unreasonable and seems like they are just trying to get a free delivery of there goodsIf necessary we will be turning there account over for collections or file in small claims court for payment

To try to resolve this issue and to try and satisfy the customer the best offer I can make is $As I stated before we are not responsible for moving this type of furniture and it is stated right on our bill of lading that our liability is limited to $ (cents) per pound per article except as otherwise declared

Revdex.com:The response provided by the company is not true, I did not empty all of my dressers and chest of drawers. The dresser and chest of drawers from the second bedroom upstairs were emptied so the dresser could be put in storage and there were only medium sized boxes that the movers had to move as a result, the other things were put in the upstairs closet and my family and I moved them laterThe dresser and chest of drawers downstairs was not emptiedI also did not "add" disassembling the beds, the beds had to be disassembled whether they went to storage or notFurther, only one bed had to be set up at the apartment, the other bed was stored as originally plannedI did not "add" picking up the piano or the 2nd address, at the time Dennis provided me with his quote, he stated that he would pick up the piano for an extra $As stated in my original complaint, I later called and spoke to the office manager, Dustin, to advise him of picking up the washer and dryer and moving the living, dining and one bedroom set to the apartmentHe stated that the additional cost would only be the extra time spent at the apartment and picking up the additional items at the houseThe extra time to pick up the additional items that I requested at the house amounted to hour and hours to set up the apartmentDennis was well aware of the 2nd address at the time of his quote, as well as the travel timeIn addition, the moving guys came to the condo first then stated that they need to start at the house, which both Dennis and Dustin stated should not have happened and that I should not have been charged forThe apartment was in route to the storage place which is minutes away, so no extra travel time was incurred thereIt is blatantly untrue that there was any "color coding sorting" of any kind at the storage unit, there was nothing that was multicoloredThe moving men asked me to let them know which things to put in front of the storage for accessibility and I told them the closet boxes, of which there were about or because the rest had already been moved the previous day and were already in placeAs stated in my complaint, the time spent at the condo and at the storage excessively exceeded Dennis' quote of $for the move from the condo to storage, the amount was doubledDennis was rude and abrasive when this was brought to his attention and now he has resorted to being dishonest about the factsThe moving men were given tips because they personable and engaging during the move and because they had stated earlier that they needed help and the company had not responded to their request for assistanceThe tip was also given to them before they quoted me the amount of the bill, which would have factored into my decisionI will never use this company again, nor do I recommend this company to others to useIt is unfortunate that they have resorted to dishonesty instead of trying to resolve this issue in a decent and honest manner. Since my original complaint, I have discovered that my printer cord is missing, which should have not be unplugged from my printer, as well as, my power strips for my computer.

went to *** ***'s residence on April 16th, to provide an
estimate for a partial pack and a move the following day to a mini
warehouse in New BerlinWhen he was at the residence he informed her
not to empty her dressers and chest of drawers as it would be less work
for her and a lot less boxes for usShe did empty all her drawers
anyways except for one drawer unit filled with paper documents and at
the time of the move our men asked her to empty it knowing it was too
much weight for the construction of the unitShe had us go to three
addresses, not one as she stated at the time of the estimateShe added
for us to disassemble beds and then set them upShe also added picking
up a piano, washer, dryer, sofa, over sized chairs, coffee, end
tables, lamps, 12-cartons, plus electronics from her son's roomWith
a large moving van you can plan on a 20-minute travel timeFrom
door to door with adding on two addresses you can add on hoursWith
the piano , washer, dryer, bedroom set, sofa, and chairs you can add
hours to load and unloadWith the men having to sort out things by
color code at her storage unit too it took more time and more boxes from
the dresser contents
The estimated time for the warehouse move is hoursThe extra travel
time for the additional two locations is hoursThe additional pieces
of the piano, washer, dryer, sofa, chairs, coffee & end tables,
lamps, pictures, 12-cartons, electronics from son's room, setting up
of furniture at residence including the beds was an extra hoursNone
of this was on the estimateWe were at her apartment hours plus the
pick up timeThe men did take a lunch break for 1/hour and maybe 1/
hour for additional water or soda breaksThis is a total of hours
I will agree to give her a refund for one hour, $140.00, to compensate
for the breaks the men tookOtherwise she was happy with the men and
the move and even tipped them at the end

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We were never offered people even his worker told us there were bigger teams of men available that dayHe chose to send only two people so it would take longerWe packed our own things very carefully nothing should have been brokenHe did not respond to the damage to our newly built homeI sent in a copy of the receipt we were given after we submitted payment and can prove through our bank money was thereI have never done business with such an unprofessional, unapologetic staff in my lifeThey charge high fees but don't deliver the service they promiseWe deserve a full refundAs far as us not saying anything but we had one box of broken dishes on the day of the moveWho unpacks everything while movers are still thereWe had no idea until we were completely unpacked which took a week or moreHad we known all the things they scratched and destroyed we would have acted soonerI hope that no one goes through the horror story we experienced

We can not do anything more on our end to try and please ***We have spoken to the men who did the move, and also Dennis and Dustin, and everyone is in agreement that the move took much longer then the original estimate because of additional pieces to move and additional stopsShe was aware that this was all done at an hourly rateOur movers did what they were instructed to do by her and she was with them all day to over see the movingAs we stated before we are willing issue a refund for one hour, $140.00, to compensate for the movers breaksIt is unfortunate that she was satisfied with the move and our movers worked all day until 10:00pm to complete it for her and now she wants a refund

There have been multiple complaints about Aetna Moving company now and their reviews online are not positive. When is something going to be done? They did do damage to multiple items. The inconvenience, extra costs and damages were extensive. We are seeking the $500.00 to replace the multiple items they damaged. The glass lamp that he indicated was due to our packaging was not packaged in a box. It was their carelessness. I did call them right away and the vanity leg being fixed was unacceptable. You can tell and the leg is weak due to being fixed. They were fully aware I was not satisfied with their services immediately as everything was occurring.$500.00 doesn't even cover all of the damaged items, but I felt it was fair to resolve this issue. List of items they damaged:Glass lamp - glass broken and metal was dentedvanity leg and hinge (they only fixed the leg)3 china platters2 china dishes2 bent metal shelvings from basementChristmas tree decorations (2 small decorative trees - bases were broken) were found broken - which prompted this complaint - tired of finding items brokenMultiple items in the wrong areas of the house of which were clearly marked where they were to be placed

As I have stated in my original complaint, as well as my previous response, the additional pieces added to my move amounted to 3 1/2 additional hours of time at an hourly rate of $140, which should have only added $490 to the $700 that was quoted to me for the original move. Further, I was not with the movers
all day to over see the moving, I was busy packing in other areas of the house and I left several times to buy them meals and drinks. I stated several times that I was not satisfied with the price quoted to me at the end of the day because it was well over the original quote. This is a dishonest company and I will never use them again and I will inform others of their dishonest practices as well.

As we stated before the only items we were informed that were damaged was the vanity and some items that the customer packed in their boxes. We explained we are not responsible for self packed boxes as we don't know what kind of shape the items were in or if they were packed correctly. We repaired the vanity leg and returned it back to the customer in May. We have not heard from them since. Now more then seven months later she is claiming more damages by initiating a complaint with the Revdex.com without making any calls to our office. We are sorry the customer is unhappy but don't feel we are responsible for damages she is first claiming almost eight months later.
