Review: Purchased a Luxaire Air Conditioner System and had it installed in our second home in New Jersey. First time I turned the system on in 2012, it rain 15 minutes and shut off. Called the company that installed it for repair. Technician informed me that the system had no Freon in it. He installed Freon in the system, tested for leaks and said he found no leaks in the system. Came back the next day, checked for leaks and stated there were no leaks. Repair cost $219.35. The very next year, 2013, turned the System on and it was only blowing out hot air. Call them again. Technician came out, checked the system and again no Freon in it. Technician told me that they were aware of problems with the system leaking Freon. He stated that they had been putting a sealer in the system and that has been fixing the leak. Put in sealer and Freon, tested the system and there were no leaks. Repair cost $120.00. After having problems for the previous 2 years (2012 &2013), in 2014 I asked them to check the system prior to us coming up for the summer. Set up a schedule with them and made arrangements with my neighbor that lives across the street from our home to let the technician in. Technician turned the system on, same problem again, the Freon had leaked out. My neighbor told me that he told her he could not fix it and would have to come back in a couple of weeks to do a complete test of the system to find the cause of the leak and replace any defective parts. No one called me, so I called them. Told them I was in agreement and all I wanted was the problem fix. Instead of doing that, they contacted my neighbor for access to our home the next day. Technician supposedly checked the system again and found the problem to be a loose value. Tighten the valve, put Freon in, checked for leaks and did not find any, no charge. 2015 turn system on blowing out hot air same as previous 3 years. They want to charge me $750 to test and repair the system. They have been aware of major problems with this unit since 2013.and potential problem with leaks in evaporator coils or condensor. Not once have they replaced the evaporator oil/Condenser.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a settlement in the amount of $2,339.35. This includes the cost to have the system tested and repaired by a qualified Revdex.com accredited contractor and refund for the amount we paid to have the system repaired in 2012 and then again in 2013 (estimated $1,250.00 for parts/$750.00 Labor and the $339.35 paid in 2012 & 2013 to repair the unit). This is the company that sold us the Air Conditioning System and installed it. They keep saying that they have tried to repair the system. Even with knowing the major problems with leaks in the unit, not once in the three years that they have serviced the unit, have they completed a thorough test of the system and replace the part/parts that is causing the problem. I have no confidence in their ability to repair the unit. Therefore asking for cost to hire a certified Revdex.com accredited vendor to perform the repairs
