warranty for the Controller is one (1) year from the date of installation, not to exceed two (2) years from the manufacturing date.
Franklin does offer an extended warranty to our Key Dealers for that particular item and date code. However, that extended warranty is based off the original purchase and does not start over with the No Charge replacement the customer is given. Because Mr. [redacted] purchased the original SubDrive on 9/9/2008, his warranty expired on 9/9/2013. That is,
the customer is not granted an additional extended warranty on the replacement pump.

No, but it was the answer I expected after hearing about the reputation of this company.
They consider this controller like a new car. Even though one part is defective, it is not worth finding out what is wrong and replacing that component.
Does it make sense to you, Revdex.com, that after replacing the original defective controller with a new one; that new one's warranty should expire after only five (5) months?
I don't believe this company has met its implied warranty. A "warranty of merchantability," means that the seller promises that the product will do what it is supposed to do. A "warranty of fitness for a particular purpose" applies when you buy a product on the seller's advice that it is suitable for a particular use.
I have already purchased another controller from another company. What choice did I have?
Will Franklin Electric pay me anything to take back their controller that is laying on my garage floor? Something again I do not expect.
