Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union

Review: I have one membership with Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union (FMFCU). Under that membership I hold 2 savings accounts, a checking account, 2 auto loans and a line of credit. I have also recently purchased a home and used FMFCU as my broker. I have direct deposit from 2 sources 2 times per month for a total of 4 direct depoits and a monthly paper check deposit. On 6/2/2014 I had a balance of 2841.00 available in my checking account and 327.00 available on my line of credit. I also had over 1500.00 in one of my savings accounts (under the same membership). A check for 3150.00 was presented and FMFCU bounced the check even though there was over $4000.00 in my membership. There was no attempt to contact me regardless of having plenty of money in my membership. They just bounced the check. When I called the bank, I spoke with someone who could not clearly explain to me why this happened. I asked for the person that handles the [redacted] employees, [redacted]. I was advised she was not available and she would call me back with in the hour. An hour and a half later, she returned my call. She explained that they could not pull from one account to cover the check even though they are under the same membership. I advised I will need to leave if we could not fix the issue. Rather then finding out what my issue was, she became very unprofessional with me. She asked me about rules in my place of employment and stated that every time she speaks to me there is a issue. I was under the impression that she wanted to assist with issues because in a prior email with her she advised me that if I had any I could contact her. She did offer to waive the fee that was charged.Desired Settlement: The issue I want fixed is to have a certified check issued for the amount of the bounced check. I do not want to be charged for this check. I would also like the fees removed and any fees charged from the other bank to the payee be reimbursed to me after I pay him for these fees. These are not unreasonable requests considering I had plenty of money in my membership to cover the check in the first place.
