Fraser Business Systems Reviews (1)

Congratulations!
Fraser (copy machines and office supplies business) has grown exponentially over the years. I know because I directly have lived across the street from the loading docks of the shipping and receiving warehouse for the past 17 years. The shipping and receiving warehouse that Fraser uses is not on Penn Avenue with the main visitors/customers building, but instead is a separate building that is located close by to it on 3rd Street and Cherry Street, here in West Reading, PA.
During the earlier years of my occupation of this house the noise level was acceptable and normal---one or two deliveries/pickups each day. But, more recently as the business steadily has grown, the extremely high noise levels of the many incoming and the many outgoing delivery/pickup vehicles has been beyond acceptable. This highly successful business, that makes use of delivery vehicles, has outgrown this medium-sized residential community.
I propose that it is in too close of a proximity to: my residence, other local residential buildings, the new hotel, five local health and grooming services (one yoga studio and four hair salons), two medical services (laser eye surgery and OB/GYN), and one dental service. All of these people, including myself, deserve a quieter neighborhood in which to live. Recent improvements have been made to West Reading. The trend should continue beyond planting trees, painting houses, and laying sidewalks.
While I will be moving from this house soon, I feel that it is my responsibility to inform others of the criminal situation that has been occurring here. Noise pollution has been proven to cause physical, psychological, and spiritual damage to humans. And, I have suffered through daily unacceptable noise pollution levels since the year 2007. I would have reported this problem sooner, but I have a disability from a fractured skull...so it was a bit difficult to figure out what exactly was causing my bad moods, confusion, dizziness, laziness, and overeating. After some careful deductions and internet research, I knew that the symptoms of head injuries are the same/similar as those of noise pollution, but not until I managed to control my eating habits and also exercised almost daily from December 2012 to December 2015 did I have the understanding that I needed to do something in order to save myself from more pain and suffering being inflicted upon me by an outside force.
So, I closed my windows. I now keep my windows closed during the day, but the noise of their vehicles still comes into this house. The sound of the 18-wheeler tractor's engine reverberates inside my house and inside my head. During deliveries/pickups these loud large engines are 30 feet to 100 feet away from my bedroom and kitchen at all times while they are backing into the dock. And then, during the docking procedure the trailers on the back of the tractor repeatedly scrape against these two small concrete walls that flank their central loading dock as the truck driver attempts to back-in straight from a difficult angle. The difficult back-in angle is because this area is too small for delivery vehicles of this size. In the past the noise pollution from this procedure has been unacceptable, but on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015 the noise pollution levels from this scraping was beyond unacceptable. It was so loud that a few days later I went to the police station in order to report it. While there I was told that businesses are allowed to be as loud as they want to be within the normal business operating hours of 6AM to 10PM. So, while I was hoping both, for help and to help that day, instead I became more upset.
Please, make the correct business decision, and either: 1) contact a realty specialist who has the ability to help in the relocation process of the shipping and receiving building to a city/county zone that is more appropriate for the level of noise that unavoidably will be produced there, or 2) contact a construction/remodeling crew that would have no difficulty in destroying those two small concrete walls, and at the same time transition back to using the smaller mid-size delivery/pickup vehicles. It only is fair that when owning and operating a business an individual and/or a group consider the welfare of all of those involved---both directly and indirectly---so that the business grows and becomes successful without doing any damage in the process.
Thank you for reading this message.
