Contract for vinyl & laminate installation was to be completed 4/7. Was not completed. Contractor was given a key to finish work.Work has NOT BEEN COMPLETED. [redacted] does not respond to inquiries. Key is in his hands. House is not usable until work is completed. RETURN THE KEY.Business Response First, there are several inaccuracies in the complaintant's statement regarding this work. On March 31, materials were ordered for this job and were rec'd by us on April 3rd and April 6th which was Easter weekend. We did not have any notations on the contract about installing by the 7th and called the customer once the material was in to schedule the installation which is our normal procedure. Secondly, there wasn't a shortage of materials due to incorrect calculations - once the installation began on the 14th, another bedroom was added which required us to order more material, wait on that and re-schedule another installtion. The new material was rec'd on the 20th and installed on the 22nd. At that time, a tenant had already moved in .The key was then mailed back to the customer on the 24th. The customer spoke to [redacted] several times that week and proclaimed his satisfaction with the end result. The main conflict has been a lack of communication with our salesman [redacted] talking to the male consumer who was out of town while the female consumer was apparently not informed of the progress and or changes by her husband.Consumer Response I have been assured by the company that the key was returned to me by mail 4/24, but it has not yet arrived.
