Fred Beans Ford, Incorporated Reviews (3)

Review: 10/2012 I purchased a used Ford Eddie Bauer Expedition. The vehicle was advertised as a 2008. I saw it online liked it and went to [redacted] Pa Ford Dealer to make a cash purchase. It was at the end of the day for the salesman so he rushed me through everything, pointed out a few items that would need repaired and told me that I could take it to a dealer closer to our home to get the work done. Two days later when I tried to do that we were told by another Ford dealer we could not get the repairs done there. I contacted the Sales person [redacted] who now had no time for me and told me that vehicle was sold as is and that I signed the 100pt check paper. I even spoke to the manager who really was no different. The dealership offered to fix two minor problems not the larger ones. I had requested a copy of that because I did not remember signing it however I was rushed that day because the dealership was closing. I never received it. Now to add insult to injury after my purchase, the veh was advertised as 2008 both on their website on the internet and the dash when I went to buy the vehicle, the saleman said it was a 2008 . I purchased the vehicle paid cash and imagine my surprise to later see it is not a 2008and low and behold it is a 2004. False advertising. I went to a Ford dealer because I liked the way the company was taking care of its sales and customers. That day I wanted to pay cash for two Ford vehicles however the salesperson again did not have the time.Desired Settlement: I would like a rebate of cash or credit to be used at another Ford Dealer as I will never go to this same Dealer again. This dealership misrepresented this vehicle and took advantage of anyone who would have stopped to by that vehicle.

Complaint ID [redacted] I am not looking to have price of the vehicle paid back I just think the internet ad was deceiving and I feel that a small token gesture for the mistake they made would be fine

Review: I purchased a 2009 Ford Flex SEL precertified vehicle from Fred Beans this past August with 21,000 miles. In addtioon I purchased another warranty to cover what the power train warranty did not cover. I traded in a 2010 Honda Accord with 25,000 as my 6'9 son could no longer fit in this car. After purchasing the Ford Flex I put four new tires on costing over $900.00 and needed new rear breaks costing ober $160.00. Three weeks ago I developed problems with the transmission while driving on a mountainous road coming back from my nephews graduation. This car was taken to a dealership in [redacted] and the transmission was reprogrammed. In additon there was a new leak on either side of the interior of the car staining the upholestry. I was placed in a rental. I picked the car up a couple days later and was told to drive it a couple hundred miles so it could get use to my driving style. I felt very unsafe in the car as it continued to hesitate and the gears where still not changing properly. At times there was like a surge of energy. The dealership placed me in another rental and replaced the electrical throttle body and thought they had found the leak. I then picked the car up a few days later and drove ot times one day. The issues remained. I was asked to drive anothe rflex that was on their lot to see how it drove compared to mine. It had 10,000 more miles and drove much better. The car went back in the shop as still had a jerky feeling and the gear shifting still hesitated and was jumpy. No codes came up so I was told maybe my tires just needed to be balanced. I then picked the car up the next day only to find there now was a major water stain from a leak which was suppose to be fixed. The dealer once again placed me in a rental and found the suroof to be leaking . They replaced the stripping around the sunroof. I now have the car back and it still is not driving properly and was instructed to get a second opinion form this dealer. I have left 5 messages for Mr.Fred Bean concerning this issue and have been told "oh he will call u back by the end of the buisnes day," "Oh Mr. Bean is so busy he has 19 dealerships and we do not know if he will be able to call you back." Oh, his assisant just up and left and he never got any of his messages." I have also been in contact with two of his sales associates as well, [redacted] and [redacted]. I have spoken to [redacted] and [redacted] as well. I still still not received a call from Mr. Bean. In addition I have had numerous conversations with Ford Motor Company concenring my mulitple problems on a car I have not even had one year. This car dealer made a lot of money off of me from my trade and my over paying for this car. I continue to make monthly car payments to Ford for $340.61 and monthly insurance payments as well for about $200.00 a month. I even made payments this month even though the car was in service most of the month. I am taking my 80 year old parents to the beach tomorrow and now have to drive two cars so we can all fit comfortably for the ride as all four of us are over 6 feet tall. I have missed hours from work from having to take this car to and from the [redacted] dealership over 8 times. By the way this dealer is 30 minutes from my house.Desired Settlement: I would like for Fred Beans to buy this car back from me. The purchase price of this car was $26,000 with a 1500.00 warranty. I also put 4 new tires on over $900.00 and new rear breaks . I would like for Fred Beans to write me a check for $25,000 so I can purchase another car. I still owe Ford Motor Company over $16,500 for this car.

To date I have put $20,000 miles on this car mostly highway miles. I would also like a phone call from Mr. Beane. This is absolutley unacceptable that he is to busy to phone a customer. I too am a very busy person as well. The dealership advertises to even call Mr. Bean at home. I hardly think they stand behind what they advertise. They have very poor customer service and I feel I deserve an apology for the mistreatment I have received.

Review: I purchased a 2006 [redacted] from Fred beans Ford and Doylestown PA. it was a high mileage vehicle so I asked the sales bend if they could service the transmission the front differential the rear differential in the transfer case before I returned to pick up the vehicle. My sales been agreed to those terms so I put a down payment on the vehicle and returned a few days later to pay the remaining balance and pick up the vehicle. When I got there I asked the salesman if the services I requested were done he replied no we only changed the engine oil he replied do not worry just come back in a few days and we will take care of it for you with no charge. So about a week later I try to call the salesman and he did not answer so I left him a voicemail. I tried to call him back for the next month or so with no response. I finally managed to reach someone that told me he no longer works for Fred beans. So I explained my situation to the person and they told me I have to talk to a sales managerbut there was no sales manager available at that time so I left a voicemail. A few days later I still had no response so I try to call again this went on for the next 3 to 4 weeks. Then I finally got a hold of a sales manager and he told me I had to talk to a used car sales manager but again one was not available at that time so I called back for the next two weeks and finally got A hold of a used car sales manager I explain the situation to him at that time I made an appointment to bring the vehicle it by then I have driven a vehicle about 5000 miles. The only thing they ended up doing at the time was a transmission service when I Came back to pick up the vehicle the transmission was slipping very badly so I called the service department and they told me to bring the vehicle back in for further inspection and when I did they told me my transmission was completely shot. And I began to tell them this is why I wanted it wanted the service done before I came to pick up the vehicle because if I would have known it had a bad transmission I wouldn't purchase the vehicle for the price I did. I asked them to figure out what to do next they told me that it was no longer there problem it was my problem and they're not going to do anything about it except replace the transmission which would cost me $3500. And recently I had the transmission rebuilt and it cost me $1550 which I did not have the money for. The vehicle also had other issues. It had bald tires bad shocks bad swaybar links it also has bad front hub bearings left and right side. When I went there to purchase the vehicle they told me everything was good the only thing that it needed was a brake light bulb which was outDesired Settlement: I would like the reimbursement for the transmission rebuild and an apology
