to her the proper time to prune a dogwood tree is in the late winter while the tree is dormant. We waited until February, snow was on the ground and I pruned the tree per the customer’s suggestions and arborist guidelines, maximum pruning and shaping approximately 10 feet from the height and 10 feet of width from the canopy. The customer was very happy complementing me with the pruning and she paid me upon completion. She said it “looked great”. I didn’t hear from her for 4 months when she began calling me in June at odd hours of the night leaving rude and vulgar voice mail messages demanding that I prune the tree immediately while the tree was in full bloom. I called her back during normal business hours and I explained to her that I would gladly prune the tree again when the tree was dormant free of charge. The following day I went out and inspected the mature dogwood tree and it was very healthy in full bloom and it looked great. When we spoke by phone again this was not acceptable to her, she wanted the tree to be pruned immediately into the size of a ten foot tall dwarf tree, regardless of the current size of the tree and regardless of the time of year. I explained that the tree was let go too long and not previously pruned and removing major limbs from a mature dogwood tree would kill or permanently damage the tree. I refused to violate every premise of being an arborist and not consider the health of the tree first. She then began yelling and cursing and demanding a full refund. I explained the work had been completed and she was quite happy for 4 months. She continued yelling and verbally abusing me on the phone at which time I told her that she would need to find another arborist to prune her dogwood tree in June, out of the recommended season for pruning. I would not continue to take such abuse and I ended the call.

I just received tree service from these people, you could not ask for a better service! They were very reasonable, non-pressuring and very pleasant people. I would recommend them to anyone who needs tree work of any kind, done and done professionally.

Review: I hired this business to trim three trees in my yard, and to remove an old pine tree stump. This business will not come to do the job. This business will not answer my phone calls, nor return my phone calls!!!I have three large maple trees at the rear of my property. The trees need trimmed, so back in April I called 9 businesses that do tree pruning and trimming for quotes on the tree trimming and disposal. One company,"Reasonable Tree Services" by [redacted]. [redacted] PA Lic # [redacted] ###-###-####. [redacted] came to see the trees in my yard. I asked him to trim back all of the "sucker branches" to the original cuts made many years ago. Trim off suckers, chip the branches, and to also grind to remove an old pine tree stump. When Mr. [redacted] came to see the trees in April, I told him that I wanted this work done a.s.a.p. so I could plant some grass below the trees. He gave me a price for the above work [$430.00], and asked if I would like him to come back the next week to do the work. I said two other tree businesses were coming over that weekend to see the trees, and give me quotes. The following week, I called [redacted] and asked him to complete this work. He said he was a bit behind due to all of the rain we had. I said, ok but to please come a.s.a.p.. [redacted] called me a week later. He said his men would stop by to trim my trees. I said, "it is pouring down rain" now? He said, if it is not raining hard, they could trim the trees? Well, his company did not come that day. I did talk to Mr. [redacted] a few days later. I asked him to come a.s.a.p. He said he would call me soon. After 10 days, I again called him back. I left a message. Again a few days later, I called and left another message. [redacted] has never returned any of my calls since. I called three more times and left messages... none has been returned???His Business card says: "Honest, Reputable, Reliable"... However he has not been either?Desired Settlement: To be professional! To give me the courtesy of a phone call back. To come over a.s.a.p. to complete the work he agreed to do... Trim off all sucker branches, chip them up, grind the pine tree stump and remove, at the prices he quoted $430.00 !!!###-###-####

Review: My dogwood tree needed to be trimmed. He said he trimmed the tree but the tree still looks like it did last summer. He was paid 150.00 in cash. When I called him, he told me to get someone else to do the tree and he hung up,on me. This is not professional to me. Would never recommend to anyone.

Very professional, knowledgable and prompt. The absolute best price for the service.
