Shameful Business practice
No where on the Amazon site for this product does it cite a restocking fee. Amazon does cite their own return and refund policy.
Your email did not make reference to such but states, "A refund will be issued." I should have been advised prior to return.
I believe I am entitled to the whole price I paid. I wouldn't have returned the item otherwise.

I will not use your company in the future because you were not forthcoming in your Amazon advertisement nor in the email you sent.

Review: I ordered a product online that was advertised as being on sale. I received a receipt via email with the sale price listed. Several weeks later when the product was shipped I was charged the full price rather than the sale price. I contacted the company and asked why this was. I was told the sale was for old stock, which they sold out of, and what was shipped was new stock. Nothing on the online sale announcement mentioned that this was for old stock only. I was never contacted as to the change in price or given a chance to cancel the order; the new price was charged to my account without my being informed in any way.Desired Settlement: I wish to be reimbursed for the difference between the sale price and what I was charged.

Review: I purchased a Buffet clarinet in December of 2011 from Weiner Music for approximately $2878.56. Just two months after I purchased the clarinet, it cracked and I sent it to Weiner Music for repair. [redacted], from Weiner Music, charged me $25 to ship the item to him. It was over two months before I got the instrument back and in the interim my son (who plays the instrument) was out of an instrument. I repeatedly called [redacted] and he repeatedly told me that Buffet was "taking a long time" with the instrument and that I would eventually get it back. I finally received at the end of May 2012. Fast forward to January 2013 and my son has been playing for several hours when the top joint of the clarinet cracks. There is at least a two inch long crack. I then took the clarinet to a local music store in [redacted], NJ. The repairman at the music store looks at the cracked top joint of the clarinet and explained to me that the wood inside the joint is not "finished." I then called Buffet since they are the manufacturer and explained the situation to [redacted] on the first week of April 2013. He told me I should call Weiner Music. I told him I had a bad experience with Weiner from the last repair. He said he would call Weiner. I gave him the serial number of the instrument, as per his request. I called back a week later on 4/**/13 and he told me he needed to investigate the situation and he would call me back. He did not. I called him again on 4/**/13 and left a message. He has not returned my phone calls. Today 4/**/13, I called [redacted] at Weiner Music, explained the situation to him. [redacted] told me that I could send the clarinet to Weiner for a new joint but that he would charge me between $175 and $200 to re-set the keys. [redacted] also told me I should speak with [redacted] at Buffet but that he is away for a week. The instrument is still under a 2-year warranty.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for this instrument since it is obvious that neither the manufacturer or seller are interested in helping me resolve this issue. For $2878.56 the instrument needed repairs twice and this situation has been going on for 14 months. I have spent many hours trying to resolve this problem and it is clear that neither of these companies are interested in helping me. Therefore I would like a full refund.

Consumer

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Weiner Music regarding complaint ID [redacted]. However, the complaint was resolved by Buffet Crampon (the manufacturer of the clarinet, and the other business mentioned in the body of my complaint). Weiner Music cc'd me when disparaging Buffet. Weiner took absolutely no responsibility for the clarinet even though it was under warranty by them. In the future, they told me I should contact them directly, and not Weiner, if there is a problem with the instrument. That says it all. I will never purchase another product from Weiner and will alert people to their poor business practices.
