The car in question was towed to us on February 16, by *** ***We diagnosed the broken timing beltThen we explained to him that there could be engine damage from the
broken belt, but that the only way to run a compression test was to install a timing beltHe authorized the timing belt, and also told us to install a water pump and drive beltsAfter installation we did confirm that the engine had low compression at all cylindersThe most likely cause would be bent valves, but we would need to remove the cylinder head to inspectAt that time *** *** turned the decision over to *** ***, who declined further inspection

I am going to try to address each issue in the order of his complaint: The oil leak that we repaired was the rear crankshaft seal.  That seal is not leaking, and the leak he explained is coming from the rivets that attach the dipstick tube to the oil pan.  As he stated, it was a few weeks...

until he saw the oil on his garage floor. This shows that the oil pan was not leaking previously. The linkage at the carburetor that we repaired was the transmission linkage, not the choke linkage. They are completely separate from each other. As far as the fuel tank problem, I have not inspected that issue.  If there is a problem with the wiring, we will repair it at no cost, however we did tell him the fuel tank selector valve is bad.

The oil leak that we repaired was the rear crankshaft seal. We only stand behind that repair, not future oil leaks from other places.  The leak you have is coming from the engine oil pan dipstick tube rivets.  As you stated in a previous response, it was a few weeks after you got the truck back that you saw the oil leak.  I think that shows the oil pan was not leaking when the truck was at our shop.

I am rejecting this response because:
Oil leak still needs resolved.
