Fred's Auto Sales Reviews (2)

Review: I purchased a vehicle from Best Auto Sales and they failed to pay off my trade in vehicle. Trade in was contingent on purchase of another vehicle.

Note: They are currently operating under a different company name with the same staff. Now Prime Auto Sales--same locationDesired Settlement: I would like a check for the balanced owed on my trade-in.

Review: I purchased a vechile. At the time of purchase the vecihle had and currently has a valid State inspection sticker. As required by state regulations. At the point of sale I requested a carfax report and had noticed that the care had been in "small fender bender" where it caused the air bags to deploy. As a consumer I took the car to a local mechanic the first week of purchase to get the vehcile inspected by the computer hook-up just for peace of mind. On my 1st visit to the mechanic I discovered that my air bags for the driver and passanger side were not functioning. I was advised by the mechanic that someone had covered the lights that would indicate the problem, along with the airbags issue the tire indicators began to flash, and also discovered that the back seat was not attached to the back frame of the vechile along with other several issues. I then took the vehicle back to the sales person that sold the vechile to me and explained all the problems. Due to fact that he assured me that I could bring back the vechile within 30 days of purchase and either they would fix any issues with the vechile or even exchange it if I was not happy. So after taking the vechile back to sales person I scheduled an appt. with their shop for the following week so someone could take a look at the vechile. I returned to the shop a few miles form the dealership where I was told that I would have to leave the vechile for repairs I had mentioned to the sales person, and I would have to be back that wednesday because they did not have anyone availble till then to work on the car. I returned droped of the car and did not get my vechile back to 3 1/2 weeks later. I took the vechile back to the mechanic after picking up the car due to issues I was having with the mechanic & shop manager. After inspecting the car for further issues I later discover that the vechile had been in a major accident that required replacing the whole front end of the vechile suadering of parts of the motor and several other problems.Desired Settlement: After several attempts to work things out with dealer it turned out that the vechile that was sold to be was what they call a "lemon". I have taken my vechile to bodyshops & several mechanics where I have been advised that the vechile does not pass state safety inspections regulations, & the car is not safe to drive and should of never been on the market due to all issues the car currently has. The car has not been flagged as a total loss, and I beleive it was sold to me under fraudulent circum.
