On two separate occasions, we have been given a two-hour time window for delivery. On both occasions, the window passed without call or follow-upOn Saturday, March 8 we were given a window of 2-4pm for delivery of a part to be replaced on our damaged bed. We received no follow-up call or delivery at all. We called them after 4 and were told it should be there maybe by 5. This was unacceptable to us, as we had plans. We rescheduled for Monday 10-12. Shortly after 10, we received a call that the truck would arrive by 11. After noon, I called and received a call back at 12:25 that there was no time established that they could come out. It was assumed I would not wait all day for an undetermined event. No delivery, no time period established. No resolution, I am now to wait on another call at an undetermined time from the same person who was responsible for being in touch with me on the prior 2 occasions. I understand that your issue was in fact competently resolved on 3/12/14. There are a few things I'd like to address. First, we try our best to give customers as close to an accurate time of when we will arrive at their homes, instead of simply giving am or pm, or even worse just a day. Unfortunately, we never know what obstacles may come throughout a day delivering to upwards of 10 homes, whether it be a challenging staircase, Raleigh's daunting traffic or otherwise. That said, sometimes the delivery truck can get a little behind as the day goes on. It is not for lack of effort on our part. Second, our delivery crew does not run on Mondays, so our General Manager was going to try to make a special trip to your home. Unfortunately, he could not access the part as it was locked in a truck whose keys are maintained by my head delivery driver. He came to your home Wednesday (3/12/14) and replaced the part, and left you another rail just in case. Third, I would like for Revdex.com readers to understand that this replacement part was not damaged when it was originally delivered in June 2013. This part was broken in your home by a bed being jumped on, as we were informed over the phone. Neither Fred's Beds nor the manufacturer are under any obligation to replace a part broken by a customer for no charge. Yet, in the name of customer service, we did not charge a penny for ordering a replacement part nor for coming to your home to replace it. Sincerely,[redacted]
