[redacted] did pay to have a firearm transferred from Alaska to Maryland. When we received the firearm approximately Oct. 28th, the owner of the store called [redacted] and told him he had to do paperwork to continue processing the transfer....
Our hours at the time were Wednesdays 2-5pm and Saturdays 10-1 due to the burglary and fire we had just had. On the 29th I called [redacted] and told him the original paperwork had survived the fire and I had submitted it to the Maryland State Police and I would give him a call when he could pick the firearm up. Maryland requires a background check that usually takes 7–10 days. On November 1st around 4pm [redacted] called the business phone which I answered, He stated he was at the store in Waldorf and had been waiting for 2 hours and something had to be done. I apologized to [redacted] and explained there was a misunderstanding about the times evidently, we were open that day but only until 1pm, and he continued to yell and was very upset kept telling me something had to be done. I asked him “what do you suggest we do then" and the phone went dead. I assumed he hung up. The owner of the store was there with me and did get upset that [redacted] was being rude to me and hung up on me, so he did call and tell [redacted] that we could send his gun back to Alaska and he could get another dealer to handle the transfer. The following day [redacted] emailed us to see where and if we were going to send the firearm back to Alaska, we had already sent the paperwork to MSP so we continued with the transfer. All correspondence was then done through email so there could be no mistaking days and times, once [redacted]'s background check came back I contacted him and he picked the firearm up on November 8th.Thank You;
