Dear [redacted]:Please be advised that the customer came to this facility for follow-up approximately two (2) days after his car was released.  At that time, we addressed all of his concerns; and we asked him why he filed a complaint with the Revdex.com.  Therefore, we were under the impression that he had rescinded his complaint.  All advertisements containing price quotations clearly indicate any exclusions and/or additions concerning that quote. for instance, any advertisement which quotes a price, clearly indicates an asterisk (*) or two which refers to "foreign cars additional" or "non serviceable parts additional charge" only for the reason that EVERY TRANSMISSION BREAKS DIFFERENTLY.  If any exclusions or limitations apply to a particular vehicle, we explain to such customer the nature of such exclusion and price applicable for their vehicle for the service required.  Nevertheless, we always extend courtesy and patience to each customer;however there are seldom occasions when a customer may forget the substance of communication concerning a particular vehicle.  It is quite understandable that a layperson may not be familiar with the nuances involved in the technical aspects of rebuilding a transmission, which is almost as complicated as engineering!  Nevertheless, we take the extra time to explain exactly what needs to be done to their vehicle and the cost factors involved, if any, to perform such service.  During the testing process, as soon as test results are available, we carefully explain to customer how their transmission operates and the test results.  We advise each customer, for their particular situation, which repair options are recommended along with the cost factors.  At all times, we obtain the customer's authorization for the cost of the service authorized. We warranty all the services we perform in this facility.  Additionally, each customer is required to follow up for quality control purposes within two (2) weeks after completion of service.  If service is required during the warranty term, we have always done our due diligence.In conclusion, we have worked very hard to earn a superb reputation.  We do not appreciate our reputation to be tarnished based upon an customer's failure to follow up with the Revdex.com after we have answered all his questions and settled any misunderstandings which he may have had.We trust that this rebuttal will put this issue to rest.  However, if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Review: I took my car for repaired in this place and since I pick up the car it doesn't feel right . This is my only car and I paid a lot of money for that repair and yesterday the car started with the same problem. I went to put gasoline in the car and the car stop and didn't want to star. I called them because is not even a month that they repaired this car . They told me that because is more than a month I have to towed the car to the garage in order to be repairs.I'm a 65 years old in a fixed budget and for me is difficult to spend as they say is going to cost me around $75 or 85.00. I didn't have not cooperation or help in this matter. The car still in my drive way and I don't know how can I get the car to the garage to be fix.I paid 2300.00 for this repair and the car never feel the same way that it was. Nobody know how much this problem is affecting my health. I have to call them and believe no cooperation at all from them. Or I tow the car to the garage or no car fix. I have a one year warranty for this repair.Desired Settlement: Refund Or they help me to take this car to be repair or I need my money back.

Review: I saw an online advertisement from freds staying $885.00 transmission rebuild winter special 4 wd vehicles additional I called the shop spoke to howard that ask what was the problem w the car told him I have a trans fluid leak he said that for $ 697 plus tax he will drop down transmission put all new seals and gaskets and put it back in to bring it to him in the morning I went there followed by my wife so we can leave car I spoke to him I told him that im disable w limited income and told me same about his wife and that he wanted to help me out and hope that all went ok but that in case it need it more or other parts he will call me and discuss the findings , will he call and said the transmission was in bad shape all tho I drove car there and it was ok I had just added more fluid as I been doing for sometime he told me that the pump was bad so the torque converter and multiple parts inside of transmission and needed a major overhaul dont forget he ask for a deposit for the estimate of at least $500 which I gave to him now is a big difference from $ 885 plus tax that he suppost charges for a total overhaul to the $2400 he was asking for to proceed with repair the reason giving was that there are many new parts needed and that he understood it was the holidasys and that I am disable like his wife but worst case scenario just pay him the 697 plus tax and he will put the transmission back in the car and I can come get it I told him that the reason I went to him was that he advertize the price and it was lower than other I had for 1400 worst case scenario by globe transmission of central islip all rebuild now he said that he uses new parts to do the work and all others use junk parts so they do it for less , now I said to him that I really cut not afford this price giving and now I have no choice but to get it done because otherwise I will loose $697 plus tax totally he never said that to me at all when I went to drop car off now have no choice but to get it done not pay my bills because I dont have it to trash all that money he had no mercy and use all tactics to get me and scam me.Desired Settlement: I want the store to give me some money or all back for the scam that they are running I dont want this to happend to nobody specially somebody disabled like me that is barely making my bills
