[redacted] is not now nor has she ever been a patient or customer of our drugstore She paid for part of one of our customer's medication with a bad check We tried to reach her and the patient repeatedly and left voice mails She did not return our calls When the customer came into the store to have his next prescription filled, he did not mention the bad check We realized that he was the customer we had been trying to reach I explained to him that he owed for the amount owed, $and the $bad check fee This is the amount the district attorney told us to charge We did not turn them in to the district attorney for collections He then pulled a bank statement--not an official document of any kind--out and told us that her account had been hacked and they did not want to pay the fee I explained to him that we had to pay a fee to our bank because the check was returned which covers our expenses I also told him that we had left messages and no one had returned our calls The type of medication he takes had increased in price from the last time it was filled six months previously Medication prices are not something we can control as our prices are set by our wholesalerGiven the amount of time that transpired from the date of the transaction until the patient returned to the store, it was explained that I would have had to turn them in to the district attorney's office if he had waited much longer He kept saying that he did not want to pay the fee, and I repeated told him that our bank charges us a fee I was polite calling him "Sir" and saying "Yes Sir" and "No Sir" as I would with any customer He paid the amount and I gave him a receiptThe customer owed us the money for the bad check, and he paid it This matter has nothing to do with Ms [redacted] who is not our customer except that she is the one who wrote the bad check Later Ms [redacted] called me on the telephone shouting at me I explained everything to her as I had to the patient calling her "Ma'am" She repeatedly interrupted me and shoutedWhen she began cursing I told her that I did not have to listen to that kind of language, and I hung up Whether or not I fill a prescription for another person is not Ms***'s business, and discussing it with her would be a violation of federal privacy laws Ms [redacted] threatened me on the phone and said she was going to sue me for defamation of character and report me to the Revdex.com I told her that was up to her She has since posted a negative post on our business facebook page that is filled with untruths, which we have addressed there as well with a responseIf you need a copy of the returned check, I can send it to you Thank you for letting me respond to this complaint Sincerely, [redacted] ***, Owner
