I have always had excellent service from Freed PlumbingThey show up on timeTheir service people are always very polite and professionalThey have always diagnosed and repaired the problem in a timely fashion and do quality workFor plumbing, heating, cooling and electrical service, I wouldn't call anyone else

The service I recently received from Scotia Tire Commercial division in Dartmouth exceeds any reasonable norm of competence, customer service, and concern for road safety, as well as an unwillingness to recognize errors, and potential customers need to be made aware of it I own a bus which I use to travel on the highways between Nova Scotia and the southern US, and my front tires, although in good condition, due to age should needed to be replaced in order to ensure safe operation I spoke to Scotia Tire Commercial about purchasing and installing two new tires on the front, and rotating the used front tires to the tag axle I also indicated that I would like the valve stems on the rear drive axle changed at the same time, since the existing ones were very difficult to fill, and were sticking in the open position We agreed an installation time and I arrived for the service around 10am on a *riday On arrival, I was told that all trucks were out on calls and that I would have to wait until one became availableI found that they had no hoists or inside service, but rather just mobile trucks that operated on the road, and that they were going to change my tires in the parking lot! About four hours later I was told a truck was on its way, and I would get the tires changed shortly The service truck finally arrived, the serviceman looked at my bus and the first word out of his mouth that I can remember was "***" That should have been the next big clue that this was not a professional outfitHe and the sales representative had a few words and finally work started The serviceman rolled out the bottle jacks and started removing tires, cursing and complaining as he wentThe first installation went badly Let me explain, that the balancing material used in these tires is beads which come in a retail plastic bagThere is a specific size and quantity to be used based on tire size, but they didn't have that size, so a couple of different sized bags were provided for each tireThe first bag opened by the serviceman had beads flying all over the parking lot, and another string of expletives eruptedIt was apparent that this fellow hadn't been trained in using this form of balancingThe second bag was opened, and this time the beads spilled out into the retail bag from the inner one, but he was able to contain most of themA co-worker who had arrived on the scene instructed him that he could just put the entire contents, retail plastic outer bag and all into my tire, and leave some of the original, copper beads in the tire to accomplish the taskSo now I have my new right front tire, complete with a mix of different balancing compounds, and a plastic bag inside of it, I am unsure of the consequence of this The rest of the operation went on to completion without any major issue, other than the fact that they had no valve stems suitable for my vehicle, and so were unable to replace them, other than the inner valve assemblies, which they did on some of the wheels, and, also the obvious difficulty they had with replacing the nuts on some of the wheel studs We agreed that they could order some valve stems, and I could get the rear ones replaced when I returned to get the wheel nuts re-torqued after ca100km Three days later, Monday morning, the new front left tire was completely flatScotia Tire sent a truck out to repair the tireApparently the tire went flat due to a loose valve stem, since it was re-tightened re-inflated and has been fine since A few days later Scotia Tire had the rear replacement valve stems required, and I returned for re-torquing of the wheel nuts and installation of the valve stems The work began, and now the left side inner wheel on the drive axle was found to be completely flat on removal of the outer wheel for the new valve installationIt was announced that this was clearly the fault of the valve stem extension, which are a "constant source of problems" I was standing right at the rear left wheel, with my partner as they torqued the nuts, and didn't believe I saw the torque wrench "break" on one of the nutsI asked about it, and was told it was okaySince this time I have found two wheels with stripped nuts and studs, and it has cost me >$to repair the damage done by Scotia tireThey have not been willing to consider any compensation, nor acknowledge fault Prior to filing this complaint, I also sent a draft of this to [redacted] , the contact provided on their web siteNo surprise that they have not even acknowledged the emailA very unprofessional organization
