Freedman's Office Furniture Reviews (%countItem)

On June 25, 2020 I bought three office chairs from Freedman's Office Furniture. The total of my purchase was $1605.64. I noticed two of the three chairs had damage on the arms. I noticed the chair I sit in the first after taking it home, and I notified Leidiana the sales person as soon as I discovered this. She ordered a new arm to replace the black roller chair that I sit at in my home office. It was about a week later, my house keeper noticed that the wood chairs that sit in front of my desk, one of the arms was damaged. A couple days later I drove to the store, spoke with Leidiana the sales person and she told me it was no problem that they would take care of it and for me to bring it back to the store. I did so, but the warehouse manager refused to exchange it, stating the damage was not done there. I picked up the two red chairs on two separate occasions and the manager was not there either one of those times, so how would he know? The owner of the store, Steve F. offered me $75 off. The chair cost $585. If $75 would cover repairs to the chair, I would take it. But they could not give me a name of repair place. I am frustrated for all the run around I did and being told one thing then being told another.

Desired Outcome

Exchange I desire an exchange for the exact same chair, in perfect condition delivered to me. I do not feel that I should have to drive to the store as I have already been there multiple times to exchange and have come back empty handed.

6/25/20 - Customer approved proposal XXXXXX in the amount of $1,605.64 by signing/initialing the proposal in three separate areas of the proposal and signing the Terms & Conditions of Sale. Note: customer signed off acknowledging products have been fully inspected and are in perfect condition at the time of the pick up. Also customer accepted responsibility for transporting all products to install location. It was over two weeks after the purchase that we heard about any of this. Even after that length of time we still offered the customer a monetary amount to have the chairs repaired. We certainly strive to make sure all of our customers are happy. That's one of the many reasons we've been in business 40 years. We feel like we really went above and beyond to resolve his situation.

What we signed was a credit card receipt, if there they shoved in a proposal that is another slick way to screw a customer. It was not over 2 weeks as we explained in the original complaint. I want the chair to be replaced.

We have attached everything the customer signed clearly stating that he picked the chairs up and acknowledged at the time that there was no damage whatsoever to the them. At this point I think it's clear that he read and signed the paperwork accepting the chairs in perfect condition when he loaded and unloaded them himself. That said we no longer want to have any interaction with this customer and if he would like he can return the chairs for a refund. We wish him the best shopping elsewhere.

I feel the same way, I do not want to have any interactions with Freedman's either. The only thing I want is to have the chair replaced or repaired that was damaged before I got it. I did receive a phone call from Daniel their warehouse manager, stating that I can bring all three chairs for a full refund. I am not looking for that. I drove to Freedman's twice to pick up the chairs, and 4 times to exchange the damaged chairs. Once I was told to go ahead and bring the chair in to be replaced, then when I got there it was a different story. If they would have just replaced the chair the first time I contacted them, we would not be dealing with this situation right now.

Please feel free to coordinate your pick up for the one chair with Daniel. He'll have the new chair outside ready for your arrival to expedite the process. Thank you
