I was promised a refund of $after calling to cancel service One of their workers came by to give me a quote for plumbing service that was to be completed on 3/10/I paid $on 3/7/and on the day the service was to be completed no one showed upAfter multiple calls I was told the guy was supposed to come at a different timeThen the employee who was supposed to come called and admitted he was supposed to be there at the time I was originally told and gave me a different reason for not being thereI called the main office back and told them to cancel the service and refund my moneyThey agreed and said it would be refunded to my credit cardA few hours later a manager called and said since we had so many issues with them they would do the service for free and still refund my moneyThe work was performed and still took several days longer to be completed than I was originally toldAfter one month my card had still not been refundedI have made several calls to t

DO NOT do business with themThey came out for an annual service of our HVAC a week agoThe tech informed us that the pipes inside of the furnace were rotted and he had to get his supervisor to come out right away because if we turned on our heat we could be getting carbon monoxide in our homeHis "supervisor" showed up and confirmed thisThey stated that they should turn off our gas but would leave it on as long as we did not use our heat until they put a new ($2700) furnace inWe called two separate HVAC companies for a second and third opinionBoth came out and told us that there was absolutely nothing wrong with our furnace Freedom was trying to scare us using the threat of carbon monoxide poisoning into just moving quickly without getting 2nd opinions

If I could give Freedom Heating and Cooling negative number of stars I would I called them in for a quote and when they showed up they said they saw another company's truck at my house and wondered if I was getting multiple offers Not sure why anyone would get offended at the customer "shopping" around for a company Then they asked me if my husband was home and said they would feel more comfortable talking about our ac unit if both of us were present I have never dealt with more sexist and disrespectful company Would not recommend them to anyone

Just purchased a heat pump from this company after having purchased two others over the past thirty years and I can state that this was far and above the other two in service and productThe technicians who installed the unit and corrected some ducts that I knew were installed incorrectly were both courteous and efficientI would remiss if I didn't mention the sales representative Buddy B*** who was very helpful and went far above what was required of him to make sure that I was completely satisfied, I am highly recommending this company If you need heating/air service Do not hesitate to contact them

I have done business with them for a few yearsThey came for annual inspection of my systems and informed me that my older unit is dangerous and a supervisor came right away and gave me quote for $to replace the furnace or get a better deal of replacing both for $First of all two other folks came by to give me estimates and come to find out, NOTHING was wrongThe tech and supervisor were young and left a mess behind after the inspectionThey also told me my upstairs unit needed ductwork lights due to bacteria and moldThis unit was replaced by them around years ago and found out they didnt do the ductworkWill not do business with them again! Called their office and talked to the general manager and they only offered to have a staff meeting to find out what is going onI have not heard back with an offer to do anything about this issue nor the outcome of the meetingTerrible customer serviceAsked for Don J*** to call me as well and havent heard anything! For being a long term customer, this is unacceptable! Please find another company, dont use them!

Duct "cleaning" caused black mold to form all over my walls
I had the winning bid of $on "Bid on Birmingham" for a duct cleaning service from Freedom Heating and Air on May They subcontracted the job to Stanley Steemer, who did the job on or around July Immediately after they left, I noticed a chemical smell coming from the duct workShortly thereafter, I noticed that black mold was forming on the walls all over my house, around the floor registersWhen I brought this to their attention, they sent a representative out to inspect the problem, and he said he would "get back to me", but never didAfter noticing this in additional areas, I had them send representatives out againThey claimed the mold was present before the cleaning, although I never had this problem before, despite two other cleanings from other companies over my last years in this houseThey also said the insulation in the duct work was black, and that maybe it was just insulation on the wallsI poin
