Review: On January **, 2013 I purchased an home security alarm from this company. At present the

system does not report to the monitoring service and so is not functional. No one at Freedom

Home Security answers its phone and the voice mailbox on the number is full.Desired Settlement: Vendor should fix the system

Review: On May **, 2013, my wife and I contracted with a [redacted] of Sentry Security/Freedom Home Security (DBA Festival Ice Cream, which I think is in [redacted]) for a year and three months of service and monitoring . The monitoring company was C.O.P.S. A letter from C.O.P.S. dated Oct. **, 2013 was received informing us that they will be suspending or terminating their relationship with Freedom Security/Sentry Security on October **, 2013.

Since receipt of the letter, I have attempted to call [redacted] (at ###-###-####) many times. Only twice was I able to leave a message in his voice mailbox. Neither of them have been returned. For the other 6 or 7 calls I made, I got the message that his voice mailbox was full. Another number that I was given (###-###-####) resulted in only a busy signal every time I tried calling it.

Another "bone of contention" -- on July *, 2013, I signed up for a parts and labor warranty and paid an extra $120 for it. Several days later, I called for service to fix a motion detector. [redacted] refused to honor the warranty contract, saying that it needed a few more days before it could be considered in effect. It should have been in effect from the moment I paid for the warranty.Desired Settlement: I no longer trust [redacted] or the companies mentioned in the contract. I would like to be reimbursed for the unused portion of the contract amount and the warranty payment.

I was finally contacted by [redacted] (of Sentry Security - Freedom Home Security) several weeks after I had made a complaint to you. And this was after several weeks of not being able to reach him (either his cell phone would not accept any more messages, or, on the few occasions when I was able to leave a message, he didn't call back, or his office number always had a busy signal). He asked me if I would be able to reprogram something on my system. I guess it was for a new monitoring company, since the original one (C.O.P.S.) had discontinued service to his company. I told him that since he hadn't gotten back to me within a proper time frame, I considered that he defaulted on our contract and that I had already contracted with another company for service and monitoring. I asked [redacted] to return the money I paid (for the defaulted portion of the contract) and he said he would try to do so. However, based on his previous history, I strongly doubt that he will do so.
