-••.--—---—.•-_ [redacted] • [redacted] **._——a ——DATE TO: [redacted] *REGARDNG: [redacted] *** [redacted] December 8, 2017Re: l.D.# [redacted] I am writing in response to the above referenced complaint concerning warranty issues oncomplainants’ home.Complaints claim that my carpenter sub-contractor split the rear door frame is not trueTheframe was already damaged and split when the carpenter arrived at the job siteThe carpenteradjusted the door so that it flmctions properlyThe door and frame are not a structural componentof the home and the split is only cosmetic and can be repairedMy painter was going to repair thedoor frame but the complainant would not let him do the necessary repair workWhen the complainantmoved into the home the door was undamaged and in working orderSince the damage to the doorframe occurred after mothis is not an item covered under the warrantyOur offer to do the repairwork was merely to help assist the oter.The shower door was repaired shortly after complaint moved into the home and the shower doorwas reversed at his request.I was unaware that the window had not been repaired until November 20th because the lastcorrespondence concerning this mater from complainant was on September 20th The window is not asafety hazard because by building code the window can be a stationary non-openable window plus it iswithin five feet of the back door- On November 27th a representative from the window company calledcomplainant to tell him they were coming out to repair his windowHe told them they could not openand close the window which meant that they could not repair the window.The representatives supervisor then called the complainant who began acting strangely, called himan ae and hung up on himPlease read the accompanying 2-letters from Contractors GlassProducts the.Touch up paint was left in the garage so the homeowner could touafter move inWhen thepainter asked where the paint left in the garage was the complainant said he threw if away becausehe didn’t want it in the garage.Complainant was given the correct wall color in writing “P.RGShark Mopako Builder”.Complainant did not buy the correct paintHe bought ERGShark Manor Hall which is not the same.Since his letter of complaint it is my understanding that the painter has convinced him that he wasgiven the correct paint color and this is no longer an issue.Complaint has refused to let us make the repairs he is complaining about, threw away the touch-uppaint we left for him, purchased different paint than we told him and yet everything is our fault.Hopefully this response letter will answer any questions you have regarding this complaint.Sincerely, [redacted]
