Review: May 15, 2013, I called Hughes Net to inquire about faster Internet speed. We had been using Century Link with 1.5 megabyte. My family wished to watch Netflix & Hulu movies, via our WII, & noticed the movies were stopping & continuing a lot. [redacted], Hughes Net Representative, assured me that we would get way better/faster "streaming" or connection on Netflix & Hulu if we changed to Hughes Net which offered 5 megabyte via satellite dish. I discussed, in great length, with [redacted] about how it all worked, charges, & if there was a money back guarantee. I explained that we lived in a high wind area. [redacted] guaranteed that I could receive all my money back if I called within 30 days of having the installation done if unsatisfied. I agreed. Hughes Net contacted Freedom Satellite, [redacted] K, Sales Rep, to set up the satellite dish & equipment. May 17, Freedom Satellite sent out [redacted] R, installer, to put a satellite dish on my house & set up the modem & wireless equipment in my home. May 17 night, May 18, 19, 20... the Internet was very slow & continually dropped. We received error messages stating "no Internet connection". We called Hughes Net several times & spoke with several techs for help. We spent hrs going through trouble shooting tests. Internet would not stay connected. Having an Internet business, this was causing me a great deal of anxiety. Hughes Net did an in-depth test & stated that the problem was an equipment problem with Freedom Satellite. They called FS. [redacted] brought out a 2nd modem. [redacted] & [redacted] told me that I could get a refund on the $100 modem if it did not work. It did not work. I called Hughes Net to cancel on May 24 due to too many technical issues. Century Link was scheduled to reconnect on May 24. May 24, [redacted], FS, stated "need work order from Hughes Net before can pickup equipment & give $100 refund". May 31, [redacted] is refusing to pickup the equipment & refund my $100 for their brand new modem I cannot use. Hughes Net work order 36377582.Desired Settlement: I would like Freedom Satellite to please come out and pick up their equipment and give me my $100 refund for their brand new wireless modem (that they replaced twice due to connection/equipment issues). The equipment, Freedom Satellite installed, never worked so that I could stay connected to the Internet. Hughes Net made it very clear that the Internet connection was not on their end but an equipment and connection problem with Freedom Satellite and their equipment that they installed.
