Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Our trailer is only hauled/towed on paved roadway, never been on rough terrainI will wait and see if this can be resolved Regards, [redacted]

Company's response below:From: *** ***>Date: Mon, Nov 13, at 2:PMSubject: Revdex.com complaint ID#***To: ***Cc: ***ID# *** I have read the complaint and have the following response. We received pictures from
the customer about his trailer. The I-Beam was split and also broken in front of the hanger for his axle. The customer stated the axles have the wrong springs but the mounting kit for this trailer is exactly what it should be for lb leaf spring axles. Our service department spoke with the customer on numerous occasions before and after we received the pictures. We sent the customer new equalizers and shackle links as part of customer service. The problem is the I-beam is split down the middle. Our welds didn’t break, the I-Beam split and broke in another area. Based on the pictures we informed the customer that it was either overloaded or put in a bind to cause the damage. I spoke with the customer and he thought he could carry a payload of 14,lbs because he ordered two axles. I explained that is not correct. I informed him you have to subtract the weight of the trailer from the 14,lbs and that gives you your cargo/payload weight for the trailer. In his case his max payload would be 11,lbs not 14,lbs. Our warranty is very clear. The customer must bring the trailer back to the factory so we can do a complete inspection and determine the cause of damage. The customer refuses to bring it back. I informed the customer if he thinks the mounting kit is wrong, we’ll get our axle representative to take care of it but, he must bring it back here for the inspection. He refuses to bring it back. I told him to read his warranty again and we will be happy to work with him on it but he wouldn’t agree to bring it back. At any point moving forward Freedom Trailers will work with the customer to try and fix his problem if he brings it back here for inspection. Once again, our warranty states the customer is responsible for bringing the trailer back to the factory for inspection or repair. He refuses to do so

I am rejecting this response because: Ive been in contact with the dealer, they told me they only order air conditioners through Freedom Trailers specificationsFreedom Trailer is installing incorrect AC units in cargo trailers, according to *** *** who deals with ***In a nutshell, all the manufacturers and dealership refer me back to Freedom Trailer, all I want is a correct AC unit on my trailer, installed, which I paid for at the dealership initiallyThey tell me the correct AC unit is a *** ***, and knowlegable trailer manufacturers should know the differenceAs far as Freedom Trailer's courtesy offer, I live in NJ and for me to hook up my trailer, pay fuel to run down to GA, plus miss time at work to have them install another $incorrect AC unit is unrealistic, what kind of favor is that?
Regards,
*** ***

You had no complaints with the unit until years and Freedom Trailers denies any and all claims as to any specifications no matter who makes themReason for problem is not warrantable by Freedom TrailersCustomer has not explained any problem with the unitAs such, Freedom can not determine the cause of such problemWe have offered to ship unit to you as a courtesyIf the customer would call Freedom Trailers we will assist and be helpful in a resolutionHowever, we reiterate the absence on any warrantee issue related to Freedom Trailers, LLC.Regards*** ***

After speaking with our representative from where we buy a/c's, the problem is not the wrong unit it appears it has to certain conditions that they will not warrantee, ie. Dirt roads, oil fields and other areas that voids [redacted]"s responsibility to warrantee. This therefore, as before eliminates Freedom Trailers responsibility. This information should have been gleaned from the customer by the dealer and [redacted] failed to disclose this properly to any and all parties involved. However, we are working with our supplier to rectify your problem. Please refrain from any further comments or assertions until a remedy is found.Regards[redacted]

For one thing, our trailer is NOT 2 years old yet and still in warranty. Our issue is not with the trailer its self, it with the AC unit Freedom Trailer CHOSE to install. AC unit has a 2 year warranty, [redacted] will not honor the warranty BECAUSE Freedom Trailer installed the wrong unit. I resent this company pushing all the blame on us, there is NO blame on our part, THEY should have installed the proper AC unit to begin with, then our warranty would have covered this and not been voided. Revdex.com, can you not see their blatant disregard for their error? Two companies, the dealer and the manufacturer of the AC unit directing blame back to Freedom Trailer, they need to own up to their mistake.

I am rejecting this response because:First of all they only responded because of this complaint. It took them over a month to respond to the real issue.  They thought by sending me parts in the mail that I couldn’t use would help this issue.  Also, I sent explicit photos of the shotty workmanship to see the obvious issues. They guaranteed no repair, to a trailer that is obviously under warranty.  It is just a half baked attempt to say they did something. For me to drive 4 hours there and 4 hours back, with no guarantee of repair is just a continued waste of my valuable business time  which is what this company is.  All they offer is excuses on their poor workmanship and even worse customer service. In fact the only reason they responded is because they saw this complaint in the first place.  To verify what I have been saying is very simple, just check out their reviews on line. Most if not all I have read are very poor. I truly regret getting into business with Freedom Trailer, they were eager to take my money, but to stand behind their product they obviously will not do.  Want excuses, want a poor product, you got the right company.

The customer should contact the dealer he purchased the trailer through to find out why they ordered that particular A/c. The manufacturer has never indicated to Freedom that certain units should be used in certain applications. Freedom Trailers offers a 5 year limited structural warrantee which...

doesn't cover any appliances. I don't think [redacted] covers the A/C after 1 year. However, Freedom Trailers will replace the A/c, as a one time courtesy, for $400 if the customer will bring it back. Or if the customer prefers, they can pay for it and we will ship them a new unit.
